Great video - truly one of the last unknown spots in the Pacific Northwest. I have to admit I was relieved when you kept the name off of KZbin. Thank you for that! Cheers, and FISH ON!!

@@FlyFishDan Thank you Dan! Some places are better left to be discovered 😀.

Nice fish! The crazy part is that creek runs underground for about 1-1.5 miles for a few months out of the year just above where you were at last half of the video. Freaked me out first time I saw it... was like no way this dried up, had to hike in to see where it came back up.

Yeah it’s a trip, a lot of our streams in central Washington do this. They will run underground for a while and pop back up.

I always thought Washington only had one Gold Medal fishery (Yakima), but I think the fish biologists have it wrong. Nice fish.

Great video and a couple good looking fish Steve. Just moved to the Boise area from CdA, any suggestions for good spots around here?
@NWoutdoorsadventures6 ай бұрын
I’ve never personally fished near Boise but that’s some of the best fly fishing in the country. I would recommend a book by Chris Hunt called fly fishing Idahos secret waters. I think it will give you a hell of a head start.

See any rattlers or ticks?
@NWoutdoorsadventures6 ай бұрын
Yeah a lot of both actually, one of the reasons I don’t fish this spot very often. I spent 20 min at the truck picking ticks off me.

@@NWoutdoorsadventuresdang, that’s what i thought. I’d love to try mousing that creek but just too many ticks and rattlers for me

honestly super disappointed you and @flyfishdan are willing to expose this spot just for a couple views:/
@NWoutdoorsadventures4 ай бұрын
@@flyfish-i8k respectfully this location is constantly fished, the parking lot is full everyday. Local fly shops post reports about this location and send people to fish it all the time. Ive seen articles in fly fishing magazines. This is no super secret spot. I’ve also in no way named or “exposed the location” in the duration of this video. I respect your opinion on the matter, but there are numerous streams I fish in the surrounding 100 mile radius that look and fish identical to this one.
