Another great review. You really need to come to the UK to see one of the great Quo tribute bands we have here. Also Holland and the Scandinavian countries have top notch tribute bands as well. I notice on this clip that at the end the song Hold You Back was just starting up. Give this track a listen, your head will explode!😁

There was the Mystery song single release, then there was the longer version on the Blue For You album, which had a slow build up intro then the jazzy prog rock outro. Mystery medley is just that, a medley with Mystery song in it, I suppose it had to be called something. PS Lars Ulrich is a huge Quo fan and once cancelled Metallica band rehearsal to go se them play live. Surprisingly Johnny Rotten of the Sex Pistols was also a Quo fan. Talking of Queen Brian May and Rick Parfitt were great friends. Brian May finished off, produced and released a solo album that Rick was working on when he sadly passed away. If you haven’t heard of a band called Massive Wagons, I would suggest watching a video of them playing a song called ‘Back To The Stacks’ which is an absolutely amazing tribute song to the one and only Rick Parfitt.

Try out Little Lady/Most of the time - from the On The Level album. The Quo's best output was in the 70's (IMHO) with the original line up - plenty to get your teeth into. Other suggestions: Is there a better way Rain Don't think it matters Over and Done Railroad... Keep up the great work Mr. Rock N Roll - you're making a lot of old old rockers happy with your reactions.

@MrRockNRollLive I'm with you on that brother one of my starting points was Hanks memorial album. You have to give Claudie a listen from the Hello album. I want to see your reaction when the guitar solo kicks in👍👍👍👍😃 , you'll be saying I didn't expect that track on this album !

To clear up confusion, as there is two Rolling Home's and one of them is on the Blue For You album where you'll also find Mystery Song. Yes, there are two versions of it, one with a longer intro and outro. And this is just a medley that starts with Mystery Song, with the other songs being: Railroad (1971), Most Of The Time (1975), Wild Side Of Life (1976) and Slow Train (1974). Now I will stop rambling and you rock on!🤘🏻 Can't wait for next Quo reaction!

The Mystery Melody is another one of the treats that Quo had for their live audiences, back in the day. The songs within being a number of well-known tracks, both singles as well as album tracks, that are well-known by Quo fans. And, of course, introduce material unknown by new fans! A very good excuse for you to consider reacting to the full studio versions, no less! At least, the ones you haven't already done. Railroad, Most of the Time, (which has to be done with Little Lady), and Wild Side of Life. You already know Mystery Song and Slow Train, of course. Wild Side of Life is an old C&W song originally made famous by Hank Thompson in the early 50's. Although, Quo's version was influenced by Tommy Quickly's version from the mid 60's. The studio version featured Deep Purple's Roger Glover on bass, (who also produced the song), as Alan Lancaster wasn't available at the time. Quo's version was a standalone single, not only any studio album. It's first inclusion was on 1980's, '12 Gold Bars', compilation of their hits, so far. Hold You Back, next. Another fantastic crowd pleaser, if ever there was one!

Hi Mr Rock and Roll :) This was meant to be their last concert, hence why the tour wqs called End Of The Road, but they opened live aid the next year and then reformed in 86 with a different bassist and drummer. Pretty much all of Francis Rossi's, plays the green tele and does lead guitar, vocals were overdubbed due to his performance being poor on the day and due to his coke addiction that gave him a rough voice sometimes, he quit drugs several years after this...
@Andy-hb8klКүн бұрын
Rubbish, this was not overdubbed. Where did you get that from???

Mystery song, Railroad, Most of the time, Wild side of life and Slow train. If you check out the Rock till you Drop version they chuck two more songs in the medley 😊
The 2nd song is Railroad from the Dog Of Two Head album, two before Hello. It's a monster! The slow one Most of the Time you can only react to with Little Lady. They are like Backwater and Just Take Me, they are played together, try and get the studio version, else live from the Frantic Four Tour is good as well. The third one is Wild Side of Life, is better and heavier live than on record.
