I think the original should be the default, since that is how the systems were sold originally and it is reasonable that people might think that is the default, with an option to downgrade your controllers for a lower price. Overall it is a great option. I would personally go the route of the old days, getting one original and a third party/replica for those rarer multiplayer sesions. Unless you want the console primarily for multiplayer.

@@coeducated There are more original controllers than original consoles... So I don't think it is unreasonable to have at least one original controller with your retro console. Not to mention. I am not saying that they should sell the bundles cheaper, just that the one with original controllers should be the default since that is what most people expect when they want to buy a console.
@CasualLeague Жыл бұрын
@@diegog1853 A lot of them are broken, lost and with drift, i remember the stick fcking lose tension and losing almost all the funtion. Doesnt matter if they make x20,x60,x100 times more controllers, times goes by and those thats aree still going,e nd up being down or being close and saved. Besides this guys do not have all the remaining stock in the worls. This store is expensive, yeah, but you know what you dealing for buying here. The idea of everyone gets the original and the option for a cheaper price with a clone that the other guy said is dumb, they can just list the console higher and the cheap non orignal controler will be look even better, or, get out of original stock easyer and ending up with no controlers and only clones, so well end up with same problem anyway,lack of controllers.
@diegog1853 Жыл бұрын
@@CasualLeague If you see other videos from this channel you will find out that they do repairs on controllers, including n64 ones and including drifting joysticks, which admittedly are the most faulty of the bunch. Still I don't get what is precisely your problem with my argument. Do you disagree with the statement that most people expect original controllers when they are looking to buy a console? It really doesn't matter if they don't have enough original controllers available, they can always just list that the default option with originals is not available, but you can buy the cheaper one with replicas. What is the problem there? Again, I am not saying that they should sell original controllers cheaper, i am also not saying that everyone should get original controllers if they don't want to. Everyone gets the same exact choices and they sell at the exact same prices. I just think that most people expect originals to be the default and might accidentally get the replicas because they didn't pay much attention to all the options, specially people buying them as gifts may not understand what the difference even is. Why is it a problem me suggesting that people should get what they want more easily, that the website should be less confusing? (Without changing the price at all) if more people get what they want for the same price... That is great isn't it? Sure the stock is finite, that is what the replicas are for, a lot of people willingly will downgrade their purchase to get a better price.

The analogue sticks of the n64 has a lot of calibration quirks that most “replicas” will not accurately emulate: 1. The shape of the octagonal gate 2. The sensor 3. The values (I believe the max the original controller will output is like 85 out of 128) Nerrel has a really good video on it: kzbin.info/www/bejne/n5Kcfp6ki6mrl6s

Agreed, most replica N64 controllers use a perfect octagonal gate like the gamecube controller and not a more squared octagon like the original N64 controller and for most games the difference is night and day. The only non Nintendo N64 controller I've seen with gates matching the original is the Hori one but thats over priced. Stick to the original.
