Today we are preparing for concrete! We are going to be improving our waterways and barnyard. As we all know you can never stop improving. Especially on the farm. This concrete will help keep our yard dry and clean. Not only is it good for the equipment but also for the cattle! Thank you all for watching!

Great looking project. I was doing the math right along with you. I hope you get along with keeping the side slope right, that can be a pain in the lower region, as well as your back! What kind of finish do you think will be best for trying to slow down or redirect water? Great video! But that's y'all's standard...👍👍

for concrete strength use 5000, if possible, throw in 2.25" micro fibers, dosage rate of 1.5 to 3 lbs per cy. The fibers will control cracking over time in concrete under load. I have achieved 1000 lbs/ sf in 6" interior warehouse floors without any steel. Works great in compression on a good base.

rule of thumb one yard concrete will cover 81 square feet 4 inches thick. An old concrete mason with a tip.

I remember a little bit of concrete stuff. 27 cubic feet is a yard, and 6" thick is . 5", and 4"=.33" First lesson wasn't cheap, but it STUCK! 😮😂

Your land is very hilly. Make do with what is at hand. Spreading chicken feed or bailing hay or holding a pitch fork.
