What are YOU on, Lindsay? (Summer House Full Recap)

What's up Bros? We watched Summer House and we are all caught up. If you want to hear our recap of episode 1, go give our episode with Ryan Bailey a listen on his podcast! But this is episode 2 and it looks like the cast came to play this season. Tensions are high between Amanda and Kyle as they're looking to take the next steps in their marriage (kids, suburbs etc.) but poor communication is leading to arguments amongst them. It boils over this episode and are we going to see these two at odds this season? Jesse Soloman shares a very personal fact about himself being a 2x cancer survivor (way to go Jesse). He also shares that he is a killer and he gets with girls... and it appears Paige is on his radar. West continues to impress as he and Ciara are still vibing. Lindsay and Carl are back in the house this week and it takes less than one day for shit to hit the fan. Lindsay goes in on Carl and says one of the most damning and hurtful things that you can say to someone that is sober. It appears that we are going to watch this relationship fall apart throughout this season. But overall, Summer House is off to a hot start.

Lindsay was so out of line, but her history on the show supports this. Lindsay can’t be in a relationship without fighting. Carl has transformed… how dare she question his sobriety that he’s worked hard for. Even if it were true, she was only thinking of her own self.

Yeah when Lindsey doubled down, I couldn’t help but think how mean she was. She’s so mean spirited and my heart hurts for Carl. Every time I think about what she said to Carl it gets me soooo riled up and it still gets to me. Thank goodness Carl isn’t chained to her for life.

The fact that she’s STILL denying things and in fact DOUBLING down speaks to who she truly is. If Hannah got booted for her conduct, then Lindsay should at least be fired. I hope Carl gets all the love he’s due… and sticks with the same game plan - keep his head down and let her bury herself! Love ya guys!

I love West and Ciara together and I'm excited to watch them grow closer throughout the season (we already saw in the season trailer that Ciara kisses West). Some of the best scenes so far this season have included West and Ciara vibing and I actually think it'll be even more enjoyable when they officially get together. It's a nice break from the usual couple drama just seeing two people actually like each other and flirt.

Not to diagnose strangers- but is Lindsay a narcissist? I don’t throw that around lightly, but it’s really alarming how she doubled down in the morning and never takes accountability. Even her “apology” after viewing the episode was more of a statement. She is always the victim and it drives me nuts!

I don't think she's a narcissist. I do, however, think Lindsay is a functioning alcoholic. It affects her personality and makes her irrational and spiteful. It's hard to watch.

Keep a running list of all the red flags throughout the season in your notebook so we can go through the entire list at the end of the season and analyze the progression of the decompensation of their relationship. From strictly an analytical perspective as the bravologists we are lol

There’s a lot to be said about someone who can’t EVER take accountability for their part in a disagreement. She doesn’t ever apologize, she clearly lies, deflects, and uses her words to cut deep (or play insanely ignorant) and then accuses the other person of being mean and aggressive when they react to her nastiness. I think she capitalized off of Carl’s newly sober vulnerability and realized she could easily control him or break him down enough to control him, then she resented him for it. 🙃😵‍💫

How old is Kyle? I think he will always find a reason not to have a child. Especially since he likes to spend his summers on camera drunk. That’s probably why he doesn’t want to have a kid because that will get in the way of party Kyle.
