Aaron, I do enjoy the videos where Laura is puttering around without commentary occasionally. I’ve been watching this channel for almost four years and I get inspiration from watching Laura puttering as much as when she describes what she’s doing. Perhaps she could narrate over the video if she thinks an explanation is needed.

I like to hear her thought process as to why she does what she is doing too. But for sure would watch her video.

@@Bamboo4U2 I know you're just a troll, but I had to address this comment. What in the world is wrong with you dude... Who HURT you?... I live in a shitty house with my partner and two roommates - I will NEVER have what she has, but even I can see that she works very hard and puts a lot of care and thought in to what she does. She is also extremely grateful for the success this channel has brought her. Everyone should be so lucky... but it's not her fault that so many are not. I am prone to resentment and jealousy as well, the world is a harsh place and it can often feel like you got the short end of the stick, but when you see two GOOD PEOPLE like Aaron and Laura and can't just be down to earth about the fact that even people who love their job sometimes want a break, or to find ways to make their jobs easier - that is just human nature, that is called innovation, and it's the reason we have half of the things we rely on every day now. There is nothing wrong with desiring convenience. The real problem lies with people who are greedy and unwell with hoarding disease, that think that working 80hr weeks is something to brag about. People who harbour scarcity mindset and believe that there isn't enough to go around. Employers that don't pay their employees a living wage, and don't think they should want time off or to have any time for their own wellness. Gets away with it... lmao Oh yes, because Laura - the woman who can't sit still, who needs to stay busy, who so obviously loves to work is sitting around scheming all day how to do nothing and get paid for it. Good grief. Please take care of yourself, have compassion for yourself, and know that it's OK to want to be paid well for a job that doesn't suck the life out of you. It's OK dude. I hope some day you find that for yourself. Good luck!

I’m a retired kitchen designer and have done many library ladders in kitchens. The ladder rail is attached to a narrow fascia board installed between the upper and lower shelves. The ladder runs along the rail smoothly via small metal wheels attached to its legs. The best ladders detach and hang against a perpendicular wall out of the way when you don’t need them. Your local custom cabinetry shop can design and install exactly what you need!

I gather that you like rum cake. Years ago my employer gave me a gift basket from a local deli. One of the treats was a chocolate rum cake that my husband and I loved. After the holidays I went to this deli for another rum cake and was shocked at how expensive the small loaf cake was and I left without my treat. A few years later I was reading the food and cooking section of my local newspaper and found a rum cake recipe and my first thought was it can’t be that easy. I bake a dark chocolate cake in my bunt pan and when I take it out of the oven I let it cool for about 10 minutes then mix 1/2 cup light corn syrup and 1/2 cup light rum and pour over ver the warm cake. The cake does not get soggy! This works with different flavors of cake, although chocolate is my favorite. It works for scratch and boxed mixes. So simple.

Aaron - My husband was an electrical, hydraulic and an electrical-hydraulic engineer who worked in the plastics industry. Many years ago he brought home a gaylord full of plastic regrind. We grew hydroponic strawberries in the gaylord. We added nutrients in water we pumped in and out of the gaylord continuously for an hour each day, pumping it all out in the end into a tank. The tank was replenished as needed from evaporation. We had a very abundant crop of strawberries full of flavor. And to those who are going to comment about the health hazards of using plastic to grow food in, it was in the 60/70's and we did not know about the hazard to begin with, but the medium used was completely cleansed and sanitized prior to using it. I make sure of that.

Have you checked aquaponics? We had some folks in our area that grew some amazing plants, lots of types of lettuce and tomatoes, using aquaponics. They had a tank of fish, the water was circulated through the tubes (something like 4 inch PVC with holes in for the plants) and the fish poop in the water was fertilizer for the plants. The water circulated from the fish tank to the plants. It was an amazing symbiotic relationship!

For the flood-tray-project: you could just use a pump that fills the tray relatively quickly and have very small drainage holes- so it would fill up and then need some time to drain in which the plants could wick up the moisture they need (or rather the mediums in which they live could get saturated). Then you’d only need one timer.
