In the fourth episode of the What artists wear... series we talk to painter Sumuyya Khader. She tells us how comfort is a key element to her outfit choices whilst also trying to support as many black-owned businesses as she can. She also talks about her unique shoe collection and how she became a Croc convert.
In this new fashion series, we ask artists in Liverpool to show us three different outfits that they would style for different occasions, and we look at how connected these outfits are to the artist's creative identity. Perhaps they are chosen for comfort and practicality, to blend in or stand out, to support a burgeoning black designer, or give yourself a dopamine boost. The reasons are endless and all have meaning.
