Jordy, poplar wood dry is still sh ready type of dust right? And wet really must be shready stuff because it’s soft quick growing wood. Glad you are showing the different types of wood that can be carved on and to do it on a burl has to put another variable into the carve. Thanks

Softer wood and yes because it's wet

Don't the burls tend to be a more denser, perhaps that's why it seems drier cos the water can't penertrate as much.
