I can say this. Been following your channel from day 1 of 2-Handed and I was a couple years ahead but still developing. In league I have finally broken the 700 series 2-handed a couple times and averaging 196 in my Monday league (30 games in) and 205 in my Thursday league (30 games in I believe). 2 of the biggest improvements for me were my timing with footwork and my focus on my target. My timing tends to veer off even though I have it stamped in muscle memory. For me, if I don't have that ball out and down by middle of second step (and spine tilted), it is the difference of a "chicken wing" 14mph ball with the revs being too sideways or a nice behind-thru 16.50-16.8mph ball with the revs matching properly. Timing is everything as it keeps your body in line and efficient (assuming you have a solid form down) and also reduces effort by a HUGE amount to maintain revs and speed. Focus on target is probably my most inconsistent thing. It literally decides if I throw a 170 or a 230. I aim off the dots and boards around them. My normal "drift" is 2 boards right with where my eyes are and where the ball actually lands. Knowing this allows me to throw very accurate without "Kentucky windage". If my eyes are on the 14 dot...the ball will pass at the 16 board at the area of the dot. However, the problem I face a LOT is lining up...looking at my target...and right at that moment of the hop step I take my eyes up and off my target. Often, I throw it "skinny" across my body or throw it way out. Sometimes it recovers or Brooklyns.... but usually it's a bad throw. "KEEP YOUR EYES ON YOUR TARGET UNTIL YOU HEAR THE BALL HIT THE GROUND!" I tell myself. You have control of the ball all the way until you hear it hit the lane....

Hi Jason! I'm grateful for this long and educational comment. Let me review some lessons from your comment. 1. 2 of the biggest improvements for me were my timing with footwork and my focus on my target. 2. Timing is everything as it keeps your body in line and efficient (assuming you have a solid form down) and also reduces effort by a HUGE amount to maintain revs and speed. 3. Focus on target is probably my most inconsistent thing. "KEEP YOUR EYES ON YOUR TARGET UNTIL YOU HEAR THE BALL HIT THE GROUND!" And your problem is: "The problem I face a LOT is lining up...looking at my target...and right at that moment of the hop step I take my eyes up and off my target." => It seems the hop step shakes your line up. Uhm...I think have experienced this feeling sometime in the past. Let me think about it...but the problem is real, I can't deny it. You make the comment section become a great learning space brother :D Thanks a lot. I learned a lot from your comment.

about a month ago, I scored a game during a practice night of .. 8/ 9/ 9/ 9/ 9/ 9/ 9/ 9/ 9/ 9/9 .. for a 190 ... try to make THAT score on purpose! .. I printed and framed on my wall. Everyone who I have shown it to says it is the craziest score they have ever seen. They have never seen such a game before.

@@BowlismOutlaw - no, not really .🙂.. I just bowled an incredibly bizarre game. This game does show how important spares are though. I only have a 186 USBC average and been bowling about 1 1/2 years. I'm an old guy, 60 yrs old. But, I'm learning and getting a bit better all the time. I don't think I will ever be "damn good", but having fun trying anyway. 🙂.. thanks for the great videos! .. really helps me learn this goofy game 🙂
