While there are people that do generally have racist motivations for their comments, it's equally annoying to be called a racist by certain people when you are merely speaking about his on track character. One thing that I notice is that every time Nascar gets into mainstream conversation as a result of a wreck (intentional or not), there's always people who try to classify it as "assault" or "attempted murder." Thank you so much for giving your thoughts about this topic. I go on Facebook and twitter and I’m completely disgusted and disappointed but not surprised about what people are saying about bubba. It’s cool if you don’t like him, but saying racist things about him is unacceptable no matter what the situation. I’m a bubba fan and I will say that I am disappointed in what he did and he should be suspended for a race or two, but it probably won’t happen.

Bubba did that to himself with the noose hoax. If he had not done that or created that silly documentary on Netflix in 2021 about BLM and himself, he would not get this much hate. He hasn't won a race or respect to do any of that shiet. He propped himself up using the race card. He gets what he puts out. I have no sympathy for what he's experiencing. This is all deserved. This what is wrong with some NASCAR fans. Was what Bubba did to Larson wrong and uncalled for? Yes! Should Bubba be suspended? Absolutely! That’s all that needs to be said. Nothing else. This isn’t about race or politics, this is about NASCAR! Unfortunately many people aren’t going to see it that way. They’re going to see this as an opportunity to rip Bubba to shreds, because they have to let their political opinions and their big ego get the best of them and who are they going to direct it to? Bubba. If this was somebody else like Kevin Harvick or Kurt Busch they wouldn’t be getting any political backlash so why should Bubba have to? Why can’t we talk about Bubba without bringing up politics. It’s been over 2 years since his little stunt. Let it go.

Bubba hurt himself for good when he cried racism over the garage rope pull and played the victim of a hate crime. It was so obvious that it was a rope pull for the door and not a noose. What were they gonna hang on such a small noose? An action figure lol. Now putting Larson into the wall and shoving him afterwards is just racing. Take his seat for a race and give him a fine. Everyone calling for his arrest and for him to be fired doesn't know shit about racing or race car drivers. There's no room for racism in Nascar, judge a man on his actions not his color. Last suspension I remember is Kenseth wrecking Logano when he had a chance at a championship and people cheered (yes lower speeds but still intentional). Now this happens and people are calling banned for life or worse. The crashes are different but just makes me think about peoples reactions. Completely disgusting
@willliampaschall98312 жыл бұрын
I feel as though that is definitely dependent on the situation. Kenseth was retaliating because of a high speed wreck when logano clearly and obviously wrecked kenseth at very high speeds. Kenseth later retaliating by wrecking him in a safe car at relatively low speeds. Bubba, however, retaliated for a 50-50 incident that wasn’t even a wreck, but immediately turning him into the wall at 170. One situation is clearly different than the other.
@John_Stephens432 жыл бұрын
Sadly there are people who are going to want Wallace's head for this. I do feel that a steep fine and suspension are warranted. I would add that maybe anger management would help, and I know how it sounds given the way a vocal minority constantly run him into the ground. But a ban is overkill, I think Wallace just lost his temper and had a brainfart. We all do stupid crap when we get angry. All that said you're right, the reactions that people are dropping online are utterly disgusting (and heartbreaking), and they make all of us fans look like crap.

To answer your question about why the world is the way it is: There are a lot of people, many in power, who have a purpose to divide and conquer. You may think I am wrong, but most freedom loving Nascar fans couldnt care less about Bubba before the noose incident. Not because he was black, he was just another name in the lineup. Nascar tried to give him a little pedastal because of his racial background, but it still didnt bother anyone. Then the noose incident happens....He cries, Nascar cries, other drivers cry...all for what? To find out it was bogus. He doesnt apologize, Nascar doesnt, and now coporate Nascar had an excuse to jump in the bandwagon of pandering. Thats why a lot of people are pissed. Youre getting frustrated about Racism that was created by Bubba and Nascar in the first place.
@roosterbub13442 жыл бұрын
He didn't need to apologize. HIS CREW found the noose. HIS CREW called the authorities. Bubba was notified AFTER the FBI was. Read the reports, then hop on and make stupid comments about how Bubba should apologize for some shit he had nothing to do with other than it was his car.
@TheJudoJoker2 жыл бұрын
Except it was actually a noose, it just wasn't intended to be threatening. Bubba never even saw it, NASCAR told him about it. Did NASCAR and Bubba overreact? Probably. But there was an actual rope that someone had actually tied into a noose. Just saying it's "bogus" is either disingenuous or ignorant.

I didn't realize Bubba personally pissed in so many people's Cheerios. Bubba has definitely gotten better as a driver. Not the best but got to be a damn solid driver. A lapse in judgement, plenty of drivers have retaliated likewise. As a Dale Jr fan I can remember the 2009 Daytona 500 clearly and even I call BS on that move he pulled. Should've sat a race. One race suspension with a fine and then we move on. But no, we can't move on for the exact reasons Millad points out.

Nascar should have made the suspension a standard with Ty Gibbs driving into Ty Dillon (why both Ty's?!) coming out of pit road when it comes to the safety of those during the race instead of just a fine and 25 driver & owners points. These incidents are happening way too frequently where we've lost the beauty of racing for spots and transitioned to an era where you wreck for spots. I like Bubba's growth through the sport and really like seeing him run up front weekly - however what happened this weekend was a choice and he should face competition consequences (but so should anyone else who does this in the future).
