I have come to terms with the fact that one day I will die. In fact, psychedelics have taught me to be grateful for my mortality because it makes our lives so much more special. Our time is limited and death represents renewal. Our spiritual energy and material energy returns to the earth and the universe. However, I still fear death. Not because I fear death itself, but I fear leaving behind young children which I have a responsibility to take care of while I'm here, at least until they can take care of themselves. I have so much I want to experience with them while I'm here. I've asked myself before, how can I be a good father if I'm dead? I cant be anything if I'm dead, and thats the thought that truly scares me the most. I'm blessed to have them and my wife in my life.

@@Sydebern its still a daunting thought to conceptualize that "I or you" comes back infinitely essentially saying different iterations of i'm not scared of death but i'm scared of reincarnating. Not everyone shares this thought but in my own mind I hear a crescendo of voices "thinking" that coming back over and over again a virtual slave to existence just a really hard pill to swallow. Thus a reason for why psychedelics are slow to re-enter my life in that I must not be ready for those kinds of truths according to imagination.

I have done psychedelics and I have also had near death experiences and they aren’t really the same. I started doing psychedelics because I longed to find myself back in that place, reconnecting with that experience, and while a trip can be very spiritual and beautiful it doesn’t come close to what I experienced and others in the NDE community have experienced. Since they developed life-saving techniques, the amount of people having an NDE has grown exponentially and scientists have been studying true experiencers. There are many scientists and physicians/doctors that had even considered themselves materialists/atheists until that experience and some of those that left their body for a bit before crossing over have been able to verify things that they saw; things that there is no way they could have known and are verifiable. And it is like going home. And the feeling of love is overpowering, far more than anything I have felt with any psychedelic, including MDMA. The peace, the beauty, the love is just overwhelming and you do see your loved ones, family you might not have even met in this life are so overjoyed to see us there and you will remember them. I have had severe health issues since I was fairly young and I have had more than one NDE, as well as having spiritually transformative experiences (STE) and those are also studied by the same people. It changed everything I thought I knew and upended my religious upbringing. The divine is not vengeful, unforgiving unless you say a special prayer or do certain rituals - the divine loves us more than a mother loves her own child and is a part of all of us. Reincarnation is/can be a part of it, but it isn’t like an infinite loop. People rarely come back immediately (this is another area that has had extensive research) except like in the cases like with the Dalai Lama and their soul’s purpose is to bring a message of love and peace. The divine/the source can and has manifested their love through many throughout history - Jesus, the Buddha, bodhisattvas, etc. But we do have a say in this. You can choose when or whether you want to reincarnate. Earth, our human experiences, are here to teach us and evolve our spiritual selves to ascend our spiritual selves further. Heaven is a place out of time and out of the universe. It is far more real than here and absolutely does feel like going home. I do think plants, fungus, etc. are gifts of the creator for us to catch a glimpse of the divine, to help develop spiritually and to get away from human-centered religions that have been created by humans and are flawed and have an element of a desire to control and direct humans in the the way that they want for whatever motive, but they need to be treated with respect. We can use them to help develop ourselves spiritually, and the most intense trip is still just barely a glimpse into what is beyond this life. I will add that I have met some NDEers that experienced a hellish NDE and in each case only had to call out to God or whatever name they used to call the divine and almost immediately found themselves shifted into the realm of heaven/source/home. I was told many things and explained many things about life and about death and I am actually in the process of writing a book about it, not so much to be known or have a best seller or whatever, but because integrating the experience of actually dying and returning has been more of a process and requires far more work than integrating any trip, especially trying to just reintegrate myself into human life. I also have found that since having an NDE it is like the veil between the two has thinned for me and I sometimes find myself drifting between the two spaces especially while meditating, but sometimes just out of the blue or when my O2 levels are very low or heart rate or blood pressure is very low or very high to the point where it could kill me (again I have a lot of health issues and have had since I was very young). You will have a life review, but it isn’t your life flashing before your eyes. Time moves differently there, even more so than when we trip, and it feels all at once, but also feels like an eternity sometimes, especially when we are shown times when we hurt people. You don’t just see what you did, and it is often things you don’t remember doing, but you also feel what they felt when you hurt them, but you also experience the times when you helped someone without knowing it and how it changed their lives and the direction or course their life took. And you better believe some life reviews are probably very hellish for people that have done horrific things, because they will feel the pain they caused every single person. But it isn’t God or the divine that judges us; it is we ourselves that do this and experience it as we transition, as I believes it cleanses and purges our human experience so that we are filled with light as we return home. And you return knowing you are irrevocably changed. You wondered if we aren’t to know, but I believe those of us that have had NDEs are here, returned, to deliver the message of love from the divine - we are so very loved, every single one of us. Dang it, I had an ADHD moment. I meant to add that since learning about those that had hellish NDEs and how they were able to pull themselves from that place into light, I decided to try something similar when I find myself in a negative space when tripping and it does help, but it does take discipline. Yes, I still occasionally trip, as it does help my mental health. I have severe PTSD from being raised in an abusive home and then marrying someone just like the person who abused me growing up. I don’t respond to many medications because of genetic “defects” that keep me from metabolizing things correctly and they do help to reset neurotransmitters in the brain, but also I sometimes use them to aid in my spirituality and sometimes get just that little hint of the love and beauty of the divine, of what comes next, and to develop my spiritual self more fully. I love that you teach responsible use, because it is so important. Just wanted to add this last bit about reaching or calling for the divine when you find yourself in a negative space.

I agree with you on the dangerous aspect man. More so for me, it was MAKING SURE I FINISHED the journey. I was a very experienced psychonaut at the time I decided to try 5meo. My experience was such that I don't remember very much about the physical world other than chaos until i left my body and everything went white and then dying and being reborn over and over again. It was the most important thing I've ever experienced. I thought about my experience for 6 years after that. It took me that long to even be mentally ready to process everything. I went down a path of deep introspection and a relationship with God, the Universe, whatever you'd like to call it. Through meditation I've been able to learn and learn and keep learning. If I didn't continue my journey of meditation and introspection, I don't think I would have ever learned what I was "supposed to" from that experience and be able to see it in the positive, life changing way I do now. That was the trip to end all trips for me. Not out of fear but nothing was the same after that. And after being a hardcore psychonaut for so long I much prefer meditation. Double edged sword though, psychedelics gave me a sliver of a glimpse into what the human soul truly is. What it feels like to be truly HUMAN. I might not have picked up meditation if it weren't for psychedelics. Who knows? All i know is im happy ❤🌏

Your message resonated with me.. I just took 5meoDMT yesterday …and although I had a great experience and trip.. the fact I went to the source of it all, and basically died is something I am struggling to deal with as I came back to my human form. This is 3am on night one and boy, I feel like I am on the start of a long journey to process it. The feeling is I need to grow spiritually to take this experience the right way. At the moment this feeling of having died is haunting me a bit, causing anxiety. I am mostly ok though and fully aware I need time and patience to process it. Wondering if something similar happened to you or if you immediately came back from the experience with the opposite reaction.. a kind of accepting and fearless regarding going to ‘the source’ or having died.

@@Rockell479 Thanks for sharing. I had forgotten about commenting here, and it was interesting to see what Tamborineman wrote back then and my response to it. Meditation was the key for me, just like it was for him. Everyone has their own journey, and I can't say much to help with processing such a powerful experience. For me, meditation helped by gently showing that, if you look patiently and close enough, you realize that this human program or this construct people normally refer to ego, along with its fears and attachments, is an illusion. No matter where you fall on the materialist/physicalist vs. spiritual/mystic spectrum, meditation is able to reveal that illusion. When you truly understand, experience and surrender to this realization, your fears and issues significantly decrease, because you realize the absurdity of trying to hold to impermanence: recipe for suffering. It is possible to reach this understanding without anything in reality changing-just a shift in perspective. If you haven’t checked it out yet, look at the Waking Up app. It has helped me, perhaps it helps you too. I wish you the very best, my friend.

Smoking Bufo doesn’t qualify one to give spiritual recommendations. That must be said. There are an infinite number of ideas. 2 paths, one leads to greater bondage into self/ego and the other into freedom from self. Each thought, idea taken as truth, word spoken, action ext will fit into one of the two categories. The untrained mind will default mode almost always into thoughts, words and deeds which lead into bondage(depends on many factors and past life karma) Bufo for me was like a direct incarnation of GOD in this age of KALI where here in the Western World we culturally have placed materialism on the alter of worship. The number of saints, yogis, meditation and spiritual gatherings ext ext is far less and most definitely not culturally dominant as it is in say India. That being said, it is a vision of motivation and awe to further encourage and develop devotion toward the spiritual path and away from the all too easy path of pleasurable nerve tickles in the form of food, sex, travel, music ext ext. The Buddha was asked after his enlightenment what he gained from his 6 year austere retreat. He replied: “Nothing. But I’ll tell you what I lost. Fear, Anger, Greed, Craving, Delusion.” 🕉🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼🕉

"Death is absolutely safe. It's like taking off a tight shoe" -Emanuel. I like this one. That our "spirit" or "soul" will be released from this physical form and feel freed or some some kind of release. Like you said, a feeling of "I'm home" and "I remember this place". I had a very vivid dream a few years back where I suddenly was falling through the middle of a tall tower. And I was freaking out. And then I realised there was no getting out of it and the moment I accepted that I was going to die, I immediately felt this warm feeling, this relief. A feeling of "It's all ok". A feeling of complete peace. I hope that is what death will be like. That is my intuition anyway :)

I appreciate that you talked about stepping away from spirituality if needed. Ive stepped away from all this stuff for almost two years becuase it was all just too much and Ive started to drift back into it very recently. In that time away I actually put in the work and made changes by my own free will and conviction that I thought psychedelics would do for me. It was hard but important to let go of that spiritual ego. Im here now to be here now and while I might allow myself to try some again in the future I know that this life isn't about the next.

here's one that will get you here without drugs: Hebrew language and Sanskrit and 3 tabs of Hinduism I mean Hebrew personally has raised my frequency to enlightenment and the amount of presence you get from the language of life is ineffable. When I started making KZbin videos on my channel about these spiritual languages and their energy frequencies I got lots of people interested I hope to spread the idea that the higher machine elves and beings hope for humans to speak these 2 languages: Hebrew the language that Jesus spoke the language of life and Sanskrit the language of hinduism and of the existence --

Check out Dutch philosopher Bernardo Kastrup if you haven’t already. He argues that reality is in essence mental (the notion of metaphysical idealism) and talks very eloquently about topics such as religion, (ego) death and psychedelics.

Wow, awesome. It's been something like 4 years since I watched your videos for the last time. As you said in this video, you were in a dark space, and so was I. Yeah, the trully spiritual journey isn't seeing all the fractals and knowing the complex conceptual truths of the spiritual realm. It's being able to see the miracle of the ordinary, the art of every second of life. Enlightenment is knowing how beautiful life is in spite of the suffering.

Beautiful Tom, love what you say about 'coming home' that's what I felt on my first session, I got chills and got a bit teary when you said that. I never understood what people meant when they said 'we're all one' until I had bufo. I've done it a few times since and get an important download everytime, I think the first time is the most powerful. You're right, settings and intention are very important and preparation. I definitely think it's one of the most powerful medicines the earth has to offer. Thanks for sharing your experience with us🙏❤️

You can bring the illusion to the truth but you can't bring the truth to the illusion .Martin Ball said for him the Bufo Toad was the closing of the circle because he had been reading and meditating on non-duality .I think the pre history of a person is very important ,when you have done a lot of work prior to the toad experience the intigration is not so hard and the chance of psychosis is not so big .On the other hand ,when you do this just for fun it can be harmfull ,it's not something to play with .

I am curious also what is your opinion on Yugas, teachers like Shunyamurti or many yogis believing that we are at the end of Kali Yuga and the civilozation will end in destruction soon. Or alternative new age concepts on Earth shifting from 3rd density into 4th density and thats why things collectively are so intense right now. I am curious on your perspectives

Hey Tom, I have a question for you, do you think you’re qualified to answer the question of “whether someone can attain great wisdom, perhaps enlightenment, without these substances”? Perhaps I should elaborate to show that I mean no ill will with the question: the thing is, you’ve already done these substances, and you thinking you could’ve reached the same place you’re at without them is just mere speculation because the experience will always be with you, your perspective on it cannot be inseparable from them. To me, an answer to this question could only be legitimate if it was done by a highly spiritual or wise individual who has in fact never done them(because he/she would be proof that you indeed don’t need them to be on the right spiritual journey) or a person who has done them and answers no, you could not attain a higher wisdom in any other way or as efficient a way as these substances. I hope this made sense, and I await a possible answer with eagerness, cheers.

Is it possible to have a human with no soul. I mean think about it. Not every soul will incarnate into a being. So when someone is born they could be born with no soul at all. Maybe the soul is just an observer of consciousness and the ego body is just part of the ride and flow of life sort of. Maybe there is some sort of free will in there but I don't truly know?

I’m confused. I thought Tom converted but it sounds like he’s maybe open to taking bufo again but he said he’s wasn’t messing around with any psychedelics because of the, I guess, demonic nature in one of his podcasts with Oberboyo. Please clarify. Hope your journey is going well Tom wherever you’re at! And I feel you on the existentialism. Been in a pretty dark place because of it the last couple months but taking the necessary steps to try and get out of it.

Just because I resonate with orthodoxy it doesn’t mean I necessarily subscribe or even act on all its beliefs. I am an individual after all, and grapple with my own doubts. While I agree that psychedelics can be dangerous, I don’t believe all of it is demonic. I think this is a simplistic reduction of complex tools that in reality - contain a lot of nuance, just like the whole gamut of human experience. Humans can corrupt anything, just look at religion. How many young boys have put their entire faith into their elders only to get defiled and enter a hell unfathomable to most people. But just because this can happen, it doesn’t mean Christianity is all bad or demonic. Same goes with any religion or spiritual practice. I feel a similar thing towards psychedelics. If walking into it with pride and naivety, the chances of getting eaten alive is quite high. Just like any spiritual path. Yes psychedelics can be more dangerous than most paths, but so is sky diving, rock climbing or any extreme sport. It’s not meant for everybody, but personally, I like delving into the chaos from time to time and rising above. The human mind is incredibly powerful, so while I don’t take demonic possession lightly, I think that many of these cases is due to vulnerable people with mental health issues, rather than what belief they chose or psychedelic they consumed. Do you know how many people I’ve known who have had demonic attacks who fully put their trust in Jesus and stayed away from psychedelics? Sometimes psychedelics can even lead one to Jesus, so again, I don’t think it’s accurate to say that psychedelics are 100% demonic in nature, I think that we are complete noobs when it comes to this. If you don’t know how to ride a snowboard, but then you jump on one and ride down a steep mountain, chances are you’re going to mess yourself up. Doesn’t mean snowboarding is 100% bad in ALL situations. This is a complex matter, and I don’t think we understand psychedelics at all. But what I can say from personal experience, is that when I go into these realms with great care and precaution, I usually receive something very valuable and don’t feel the need to go back for a while. But I can only speak for myself. This is why I don’t necessarily recommend psyches to anyone. It doesn’t make sense for it all to be demonic, and when we give demons too much power, we create an unnecessary hell for ourselves. At the end of the day, God is in control, and as soon as you shine the light into the shadows, they have zero power.
@colindavis2113
@colindavis2113 2 жыл бұрын
@@yourmatetom oh yeah I agree with you. I was just under the impression you and oberboyo had said they were demonic in nature but that was a while ago. I know you said you don’t recommend them in that podcast and I may have filled in the blanks. I used to be a believer in Christ myself, and psychedelics and other mind altering substance are considered pharmokia, which good luck avoiding that if you get a surgery cuz they’ll dope you up with anesthesia then give you pain killers. Mind altering substances are just generally considered demonic in nature by most sects hence why I asked the question. I think it’s impossible for anyone to follow a path to its fullest. I’m sure people get close but no ones perfect and sometimes we don’t resonate with certain teachings from a path we’re following. And I personally don’t see how psychedelics, or any incredibly powerful force for that matter, can be considered inherently evil. I believe in utilitarianism when it comes to powerful forces as it’s how these tools are used in that moment that determine if they’re good or bad. And that last thing you said 🔥 spot on. Came to that same conclusion after my first weekend long ayahuasca ceremony. Thanks for the vids. I listened to you and Dakota last night from three weeks ago. Was fun listening to you guys 👍

At 8:30 Tom talks about being grounded and shadow work. I think he’s got a big point about our shadow. To me, being grounded means integrating my shadow and staying connected to nature and people at the most basic human levels. Eating well, socializing especially while sober, making meaningful connections with others, doing work and feeling accomplished, having more earth like human goals like working towards a healthy and fit body. The integrating shadow work is something I’m exploring right now. To me, it’s about grounding myself by integrating my unconscious emotional body into who I am. Like working through traumas and accepting where I’m at at this moment, here and now, as a human being. Less of escapism and less of letting the unconscious take over.
