In Indonesia I paid $9.90 for ONE scoop of Ben and Jerry’s ice cream, yet a full meal on the street was less only around $7.00

Funny fact, I traveled to Uzbekistan in March 2013, spent 4 hours clearing customs to enter the city because I had 7k in cash , mostly in $20 and $100 bills, they had to write serial numbers down of every banknote! By hand! And gave me a piece of paper saying if I wanted to leave Uzbekistan with any cash, notes will have to match numbers of certificate! What!!! I was stunned. And no one accepted cards, only cash. I had to walk literally with backpack full of cash 😅

Why the fuck did you enter with 7k cash

Hey, I'm local, and all of it costs way more... even if per item. The dish, for example, is no less than $2-3, the same goes for kebab and the ride. Dunno tho, maybe he really found those magical prices😂

I live there, and the price for taxi for 50 kilometers is 1 dollar). However living here is very difficult for a lot of people, But anyway citizens of this country are 2 times happier than citizens of Europe countries.

in uzbekistan tge prices are 10x higher for tourists 😂 keep that in mind and try to find locals to help you out. For example, my father used to help his friends from other countries by booking hotels on his passport, because for uzbek passport the rooms are significantly cheaper
