Highly recommend Zan Asian Cruisine, Westfield Sydney. $15 for large meal noodles or rice, with any two meats. Gelato at Darling Harbour and Circular Quay is $8 1 scoop or $10 for 2 scoops. Woolworths Wolli Creek is far cheaper than any NZ supermarket. Sydney is about the same price as Auckland and Wellington. The food is so good, you just got to watch how much of it you buy. Novotel Sydney International Airport offers a large bowl of fries for $8, and I must say Australian food portions are far more generous than New Zealand. We struggled to eat one large bowl of fries, and it wasn't cheap fries, good fries for $8.

McDonalds also lists the nutritional info when you use the self service kiosks to order. New Zealand is behind and doesn't do this.

would you say stuff in Sydney or NZ was more expensive?
@ALxdCr4ftPlays Жыл бұрын
@Janice Fung NZ. Lower wages, higher GST. Cost of Petrol, Retail items, groceries and especially public transport is higher too. Housing likely will be a bit more expensive in Sydney.

what would your day look like if you had $50 to spend on food, drinks and attractions in Sydney???
@robertjayruan9490 Жыл бұрын
Hey Janice, My day with $50 would be in the suburb in parramatta called 9 degrees rock climbing $23 if U has shoes if not it $27. Lunch would be in Westfield parramatta spoilt for chose. Parramatta park is the attraction. End the day at eat street bay vista.
@ALxdCr4ftPlays Жыл бұрын
I'd be more busy doing the attractions than worrying about food. But for under $50, I would get Gelato. Zan Asian Cuisine from Westfield Sydney. Manly/Shelly Bay/Coogee/Bondi Beaches, Botanic Garden and walk along the Harbour Bridge are all free. And Opal card public transport is extremely cheap (incl. after any 8 trips, the rest of your trips are half price for rest of the week) compared to public transport in NZ.

The 170X bus, the only direct service from Manly to Wynyard (CBD) only runs in the morning, between 6am and 9am. You will have to take a bus to Neutral Bay, then another to the city at other times.
