Thanks for this great round-up! I grew up in the 50s. The only thing we had in our refrigerator was milk. If we went out for breakfast we could have a glass of milk or orange juice, but it was fresh squeezed and it was a very small glass, like 6 or 8 oz. If we were thirsty we drank water. There were never soft drinks in the house. My parents drank coffee but kids weren't allowed to have it. I never liked it anyway. There are too many choices now and that is part of the problem. Too much marketing telling us we deserve a break today.

I'm 65 years old and have spent the last 45 years trying various diets and workout programs to shed weight and improve my fitness. Three months ago, I stumbled upon Dr. DeBerry's KZbin video discussing the Carnivore diet and decided to follow his advice. For the past two months, I've been fully committed to the Carnivore lifestyle, although I do enjoy drinking 12oz to 14oz of red wine on most days of the week. I've completely eliminated fruits, vegetables, fast food, junk food, and processed items from my diet, opting for a Carnivore approach focused on reclaiming my health, not just shedding pounds. I rarely weigh myself, but when I do monthly check-ins, I'm pleased to report a significant loss. Currently, I stand at 5ft 10 inches and weigh 198 lbs, down from 216 lbs two months ago-equivalent to an impressive 18 lbs lost, averaging 9 lbs per month. For me, transitioning away from traditional foods prior to Carnivore felt akin to attempting to quit smoking while relying solely on a nicotine patch. The Carnivore diet has truly transformed my health and well-being."

@@59skupe There are a lot more Kombucha and pro-biotic drinks out there. I look for ones with 5 grams of carbs or less. Then I drink half the can half diluted with sparkling water. A sparkling water with diluted kombucha or electrolytes for a pick me up if I need it and a sparkling water with dinner. More plain water afterwards. So I think if you are a moderator like me you can mix it up and do different things. Just be mindful of the carbs and the frequency. Oh and I forgot to mention long brewed rooiboos tea has no sugar, no caffeine. I add stevia leaves from my garden a cinnamon stick and a clove. I let it brew overnight and it has a sweet taste that is mild but enjoyable. I'll switch out caffeinated tea for this tea if caffeine is affecting my sleep. Long brewing stevia leaves tastes much better than processed stevia. Less bitter.

I'm almost 40 and it's time for a change in lifestyle. I 100% committed to starting carnivore 2 days ago when I ordered almost $1,000 (63lbs) of grass fed organic beef, free range organic eggs and chicken, wild and sustainably caught cod, salmon and tuna from Alaska and Kettle and Fire brand Bone Broths. I have made several lists on good and bad foods, carnivore vs keto foods, macros and micros, carbs and calories, protein and sodium, vitamins, ect. I have never found a video on beverages!!! With that said, I fortunately love plain water and already drink it as 95% of my daily liquid intake. However I do have a CIRKUL water bottle and flavor cartridges for the once every few days I want some flavor. I may utilize these more when I start my new lifestyle of carnivore as the cartridges contain 0 cal, 0 fat, 0 carbs, 0 sugars, 0 protein, 55mg sodium, 40 mg potassium, 1.3 mg niacin, .14mg B⁶, .19mcg B¹², 30mg phosphorus, and 50mg chloride. In addition to adding salt and spices to my food and the bone broth, I'm hoping it will be enough to keep my electrolytes in check. This is something I need to research more that I hadn't really thought about until I saw this video, so thank you! I'm currently doing a 5 day diary pre carnivore, documenting what I eat and how I feel physically and mentally throughout the day. Will also do 2 days of water fasting with documentation before beginning carnivore. Anxious to see the subtle and not to subtle changes that take place over the next few months!

Me too! You are the first person that I have heard say that about coffee too! I keep going back to it and then my foot starts sweating again….. it seemed silly to think that it was coffee ☕️. I tried different coffees, including instants, but only doing without it gave me any relief. So I remembered that last year I was getting higher blood sugars only after I ate ground beef from Safeway near me…. I suspected that they might be adding something, so I started buying it from another store in town And voila!, problem solved. Maybe something similar is happening with coffees? (I suspected soy being added to the meat because of the breakdown in supply). Thank you for mentioning the coffee. I don’t feel as crazy now.

I was watching a documentary about Roman legionaries and discovered they had an energy drink that they used when they couldn't get hold of weak beer or watered-down wine (their preferred drinks). This energy drink consisted of water mixed with a small amount of salt and vinegar. The modern equivalent would be a bottle of water with a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar and a pinch of salt mixed in. It sounds gross, but it's actually amazingly refreshing after a workout.

Laura really understands nutrition. I have been watching Keto / Carnivore videos for 2 years now. I'm impressed that she busted heavy cream. I used to think it was a great substitute for a traditional malt / milkshake. But drinking a bottle of it is the equivalent of eating an entire stick of butter (or two). That is only helpful if you are occasionally using it as your day's entire calorie intake, once in awhile, to bring your insulin down to a new plateau. It can serve as an occasional "butter fast" which is actually a good thing. Laura is also teaching people to read ingredient labels for chemicals, not just the carb content. She talks about how milk is really only meant for baby cows, not humans. Then she mentions how while even the purest alcohol may not be a carbohydrate, it will cause your body to store any fat you have eaten while it first detoxes your body of the alcohol. Great & informative video!

Higher protein, fewer carbs, tastes great (their chocolate milk is so good it made me realize i like chocolate milk lol). I think it's lactose free (or at least there's a lactose free version, I can't remember). It's good stuff if you're interested in milk but don't like the extra carbs of regular milk or would like more protein. It's just a bit pricey. In our area, it's $0.60 cheaper at target/Walmart vs kroger just as a heads up. I don't recommend if you have a tight budget and a bunch of kids lolol

Would've loved to also see a note on dental health here! Constantly drinking something acidic can damage your teeth over time, and that includes bubbles. The CO2 in carbonated drinks can react to become carbonic acid. Citrus drinks or a lot of processed stuff can also be acidic. And so is coffee. Not that you shouldn't drink them ever, just that if all you're drinking is acidic/carbonated stuff it's a problem. It really is important to learn to like plain water if you can

You are so right and spot on, the cow's milk is designed to raise 1,500 to 2,000 lb cows ultimately!! Also the proteins in cow's milk are much larger than that in goat's milk, and that's why I often babies and small children may have difficulty digesting it and may end up with diarrhea because the body cannot break down that kind and that size of protein; it just pushes out the other end, so this is very important even though it is an animal biproduct.
