That "quilt" would make a beautiful pillow cover. I have seen this block so many times, yet this one you made tonight seems to different. I know it's the colours of the fabric -- made me love the block! I will have to try this myself.

Isn't it funny how just changing the fabric on something can change the ENTIRE look!? And I agree, making a smaller version of this to make a pillow cover would be fantastic!

I sew on a vintage Kenmore 158 I bought it used by myself from a classified ad in the 9th grade for $25. I thought it was messed up so I got a lower end Brother to replace it. I made one school project costume on it for my daughter and after that when I decided to learn to quilt I got on KZbin and listened to maintenance videos of a guy who loves & restores the Kenmore 158 series machines. Sure glad I didn't pitch it! It is in super clean condition and sews great again!

We call the quilt a Stretch Star. I have made this in several sizes. So cute! The quilt I made used the cut off triangles were used in a border as half square triangles. Thanks for sharing. ❤❤❤

I thougth the cut off HSTs would be fun in the border - I'd love to see one of yours finished!

Hey Becca! Just finished watching Donna and she mentioned you have the Covid as well. My husband and I both are trying to get through it for the 2nd time as well. Day #5 big time chest congestion. Get your rest and sweat it out. Prayers to you 🙏💕

OOoh, I've not heard of a 'pram quilt' - I'll have to look that up!

@@sewbecca just something large enough to cover a baby or little one in their pram or pushchair, enough to keep them warm enough but not overheat them. Thanks for replying 🌟

Have you thought about just using 20 of each, having one less shape, on alt points? If you have a fat q bundle you could cut enough pieces, for this from the scraps?

Becca, do you square up your blocks before sewing them all together?

Most of the time yes, but for this project I don’t think I did

Is this a 301 or 301a? What is the difference? I hope you feel better soon! ❤
@sewbecca2 ай бұрын
I have a 301. My understanding is the 301 and 301a are the same; except the 301 was manufactured in NJ while the 301a was manufactured in Anderson, SC
