I've heard that eyelash glue works for foil or powders - also stencil glue (mod podge? i think makes it - allows ppl to temporarily adhere a stencil to a craft project, Michaels maybe?). love your experiments! Back when I first started messing with polish a few years ago, I was always on the hunt for local supplies since I wasn't familiar with ordering online etc. My go to places were Dollar Tree, Family Dollar, and now Dollar General. Even Rite Aid - which became Walgreens here. And oh boy did i ever play and experiment - where i first learned that acetone "eats" certain things too lol.

ah ha! - hobby lobby - "Stencil Magic" - "...The non-toxic adhesive dries clear and stays sticky..." - if i ever get to a hl again will see if i can find it!

If we do not have foil glue, I doubt people would have Yellow stopper and if I had sticky polish, I wouldn't need this video. I do appreciate both videos. Thank you

Nail gel glue - used for gel-x aprés nails. After you cure it for 30seconds 💓

I don't have the Maniology sticky base coat. They aren't shipping polishes to Canada so I can't get it right now. That's why I tried the ProFx one

What about the sticky layer most gel polish leaves and is so often wiped off? I am new to gels, but the dispersion layer might be enough? I'm looking at whether to spend 8.00 for the glue, or the stand I'd love to have for practice nails, lolol!

Just base gel isn't sticky enough to use foils. There are foil gel glue though that works

Base gel also leaves that sticky layer

It's not the right sticky. Unless you use gel foil glue but base gel doesn't work.

@@girlienails66 people make me just say WOW I added a method I have been using and I haven't seen anyone else try what I had suggested but it works perfectly for me I never have any problems with transfering of the image.. you use a no wipe topcoat on the back of your foil and cure it.. I cure 60 seconds twice just to be safe 🤣 but it creates basically a decal that peels up perfectly from the foil no image distortion/nothing left behind I was mind blown I wish I knew how to send you pictures but please please try what I suggested I really think you will truly appreciate the method... I'm super excited to see what you think.. oh I forgot to add I have yet to try doing the no wipe TC on the actual nail I was just so excited about the perfect transfer bc I tried so many different things trying to encase the whole foil into a decal.. like I would put a square of regular TC on my mat cut a square of the foil squish it onto the TC square then do another thin coat of the TC and that actually works too like making stamping decals and they actually weren't extremely thick and they were also actually super pliable..I was quite surprised but to be honest I came across the no wipe TC thing on accident I had dripped on one so I figured why not cure it.. so I cured the blob and to my complete surprise it (the TC blob) peeled up perfectly whole design intact and it left a totally clear spot.. I got so freaking excited 😆 I grabbed another piece of foil did a little square then cured 2x just to be safe but I was so excited from the perfect transfer that I have yet to try it on the nail like regular application bc I am afraid I might miss some of the image like normal I mean I could go back over it I guess but I think I'm going to stick to the decal/application to the foil bc I don't want any distortion's.. I have tried with ALL different brands of foils from Makartt to cheaper foils from Amazon and they all work exactly the same 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻.. even the clear foils that have designs on them I was so excited to share this with you.. bc you have shown me so much and you were basically the glue that held me together when things were super unbearable💙.. honestly I'm hoping this works for you I wish I could share pictures but I am in a Facebook jail bc people don't like the truth but if I can find you on the page I think you are in stamping sisterhood.. maybe I can pm you some pictures.. so very sorry for writing you a novel here 🤣
