Once while using VR showroom sitting on my race chair and steering wheel, I leaned in to take a close look at the brake discs on the Audi TDI LMP1 car, I was so immersed I forgot where I was and smashed my mouth in to my steering wheel, gave me a hell of a fright 🤦‍♂️

They need to add a VR spectate mode where you can watch replays etc from trackside, and then watch and move the viewpoint in real time :D

Okay, I'm sold. I don't care that I can't drive online or against A.I with a full grid. I just did not know we could race EVERY track, every car, on every variation of tracks, on most times of the day. This is what I'll use to test out cars and learn tracks and time trial the fuck out of it. I'm having tears now, this and Dirt Rally is all I need.

Would be happy to just race the campaign leagues in VR even if the field was smaller. Not gonna get multi player VR until next gen console releases.

The VR is limited so you got to create your own fun. For example I give myself time trial challenges like get the Mercedes AMG GT3 around the nurburgring faster than Lewis Hamilton or beat Kamui Kobayashi's hot lap time around La Sarthe in the Toyota TS050. One I haven't finished is get the Porsche 919 around the Nordschleife faster than the Porsche 919 EVO, it's doable i've seen it but boy is it tough.

Put BOP on and the opponent will be just easy rather than ridiculously easy. Shame there's not more actual racing on offer in VR. No doubt in the next game they'll have that covered...

Play Mount Panorama Circuit at night with the formula 1 car (no headlight, only track lights at the start/finish line) basically driving blind and Ai drives it fine 🤣

I was only able to race once "in VR" in the 1st Sunday Cup race with multiple cars. Is that normal; that past that race VR no longer works when trying to race with multiple cars in campaign mode?? VR does work as normal via the VR tour & then single races. Maybe I just got lucky? Seems weird.

Shame there is no multiplayer in vr but it’s brilliant for getting lap times down being able to see through the corners better is great.

Great video! I've recently found your channel and become a subscriber. I'm looking to get back into sim racing after many years. It's a little disappointing that GT Sport doesn't have support for multiplayer in VR. I've been using VR for the past 3 years or so, and i've recently been trying out Project Cars on PCVR, and that's amazing and has support for multiplayer. GT Sport would be so much better with multplayer. I guess there's always Driveclub. All the best, and stay safe :-)

Rich Nick same thing happened to me, put a fan directly in front of you when playing and try not to look around to much when you are racing. It helped me a little bit. I did the Nürburgring and puked half way round lol

I’ve got a Sony VR headset on the way and just checking out what I can do with it. When you popped your VR headset in, where is it connected to? The PS4 same as any other VR game or to the rig somehow. Wish you’d shown your set up a bit clearer. Thank you 😊

Wish they bring it back to the state in played it before it came out on a closed hands on at a Sony event in Amsterdam. There i played it in VR on PS4PRO with a full roster of cars and selectable difficulty. I played more then 2 hours on Nordsleife and loved it. Why they striped it, i don't know, because it played flawless.

Just bought a Ps5 with separate headset. If I was to buy GT Sport would it be the standard GT Sport game (With VR Time trials), or is the VR Version a stand alone game(if that makes sense)? Pretty new to the Playstation. Cheers

You can buy all cars with in game money. You can also pay with real money if you wish, but you never need too.

I have put up a similar video with VR on Gran Turismo 7 which they will not confirm or confirm... would love to know your views on this do you believe that Gran Turismo 7 will end up being able to be used on the psvr one?... look forward to anybody's answer on this as when I tried to do this Gran Turismo is nothing but non-committal

@@GametechUK I know and even if they done a downgraded version I think it is bulldozing people into buying a VR system which is more expensive for those that already have them... perfect time for people just getting into VR but those that have VR are those that Are the Vr community ..compared to oculus users which outlay us 20 to1... as dedicated play stationers they should offer something to those that have been loyal and apart from that personally as I love the in-car VR tour... nice added touch that puts you in the action and even if virtually puts you behind the wheels of the cars that made your youth and cars you would probably never get to sit in.. I've been asked many times but couldn't give a definitive answer so I had to defer.... thank you for your echoing my thinking and hope Granturismo work it out.. Many thanks

The headset is s Turtle Beach Stealth 450, but the mic is a Modmic addon. The standard mic for the headset isnt very good, but sound is lovely.

The PS-Camera reads the lightsensors of your headset. Thus makin' it a vital part.

Not sure what happened but the time trials in vr don’t give me a “load ghost” option any more so I can’t race a best time saved ghost from a earlier session.The current ghost still shows up after the 1st go around but not a ghost car from best time.Weird.Has anyone experienced this?

@@idontknowyou876 no,haven’t tried it in a couple months but it wasn’t giving the option last I looked.They removed itI used to be able to race a previous ghost of a prior ghost car by a different manufacturer.fo example a Porsche against a Ferrari but now I can only race the same car as a ghost.

any theory as to why no more racing games are being released for PSVR? It's amazing that no developer has attempted to perfect a racing game for PSVR - by that I mean a game with the graphics of GT and the gameplay of Driveclub VR. Surely the PS4 Pro can handle it.

It can, but Sony's policy is, if a game comes out, it HAS to work on the standard machine. So unlike the Xbox X there are no 'Pro' optimised titles. Such a poor decision imo.

@@GametechUK so what they should do, is to release a game like driveclub (I'm sure the standard ps can run slightly better graphics) and add a pro patch for higher resolution. VR is like made for these sort of games - can't believe they ditched the idea of a great racing game. My G29 is collecting dust:(

You’re not wrong. His seating position is a little out of scale. It’s not very replicable of any real cars especially cars on circuit. The wheel angle facing so high is more similar to those of trucks and busses. And the pedals as well. The pedals so close under the knee don’t allow for proper pedal modulation or feel that is compatible with a track car as well. Not necessarily his fault it may just be the rig he has. But the set up would definitely be benefited if the entire thing were to just be lifted about 2 feet up from the front haha

@@GametechUK I've seen videos with shifters. Coming from iRacing and having spent over $25,000, not converting to £, on rigs and PCs with consoles.....I have 3 wheels and 2 shifter sets. One custom and one from Thrustmaster. You have done a complete review(s) on this VR. Very tough to find online. Is it worth about $500 used for a Pro, game and VR for Ai or alone driving. I'd also like to know what pedals and wheels are compatible. (I've definitely seen for over a year ago shifters being used in multiple videos on here) Keep up the good videos and updates on this poorly covered genre within on genre. ;) A TX adapter is sold. (I have it and the full TX Pro setup) TX Wheel, TH8A, Pro Pedals etc etc. (That's my expensive cheap console setup) An adapter or a GT Port wheel with Thrustmaster pedals and shifter for PS4 is required. T-GT wheel and TH8A with USB adapter is the key.

@@GametechUK You need an additional USB hub for support, since the PS4 only has 2 USBs in order to use the shifter. That's probably why you haven't yet. You might need a T-GT wheel with TH8A shifter.

Hi mate, i think if you look overall, and take the KZbin and Twitch content into account you will see that isnt strictly true. There has been a flow of GT Sport recently, purely because of the 24hr fund raising event and the most recent updates to the game too.

It really sucks you can't race a buddy. There's no difficulty level. You basically just drive the track. With the AI you just automatically win. It's not racing what's so ever. Update it to share you can at least drive a buddy. Gt can do it, but just won't do it.

I agree, and showed that in the video, although the time trial mode does atleast add a bit of longevity to the mode if you are looking to improve lap times etc.

VR with GTS is total utter shit. Dont get PSVR only for this game... you will be so disappointed. Go for I racing on the PC.
