I am still confused as to if I need one to haul my covered trailer with a gvwr of 7000lbs with my F350 (gvwr 13800). Ive been looking everywhere for this answer and can't find it. I have been finding conflicting answers.

They want you to attend the school to get that answer. Same thing happend to me , now I have all the answers. Good luck

You can't go over 26000 pounds that's including the total weight of your truck and trailer and cargo. Your at 20800 without cargo. Your cargo including yourself as well couldn't exceed 5200

If I have a class A permit would I be able to take a class B road test instead and just get my class B?

Here in NJ, they don't classify the CDL permit specifically by "A" or "B" - it specifically tracks the CDL Permit tests you have taken. In our experience you CAN get your Class B if you bring a box truck. But I would check with your local DMV just to be sure! Thanks for watching!

No that can't be accurate he must be including the pre trip and obstacle backing menuevers. I have a class b with a passenger and school bus endorsement and my road test was probably 15 min 20 max.

So all roads test consist of backing?

@@jeanlasting5467 I don't know about all states but here in Alabama backing was apart of the road test. But it was more of like an obstacle course with cones in a parking lot.
