As an experienced beader, i think these Jesse James packs are still pretty good value for a couple of reasons. The Jesse James acrylic beads are pretty nice and a lot of their beads are unique shapes and finishes, in general. But, the metal coated plastic and findings are meh all round. Including the nicer JJ beads with other item in your stash (CZ glass beads, fire polished beads, metal spacers, etc) can really add some pizzazz and doesn't downgrade the finished piece, IMO.

I will agree that they do have some unique shapes. I normally get broken or unusable beads in these mixes though, which is unfortunate but I guess part of the gamble with the price. The plastic spacers really did a number on me and if I were to actually sell the jewelry made with these beads I would have taken them out for sure.

I think you might have lowballed the selling prices, but it may be area specific. All the designs are really fun and I got some ideas out of them! Thanks

I love all of your designs. I think you have a lot of talent. Your prices seem fair but I think you can go higher on some of the pieces. If you keep the prices lower then I think people would be likely to buy more thN one piece.

That was my thought too! I have noticed that people do seem more willing to buy multiples if the prices are decently low. Multiples discounts have worked for me pretty nicely as well! (2 for $10 3 for $12 etc)

I love your creativity!! I purchased several of the Walmart assortments. I will use them to make jewelry for myself and granddaughter. I also plan on ysing them to practice skills and experiment with so I don't ruin the better beads. Despite them being cheaper quality, they are still pretty and will be fine for personal use. Thanks for your video!! PS: your Walmart has a better selection than mine. I paid an extra dollar on the JJB website for the ones my Walmart didn't have.

Very lovely designs, and color choices. My local Walmart only has three of the John Bead kits, and a small handful of the other kits. I know some of the items are plastic and acrylic, which does drive the price down, as does the finish. I think you did a good job at pricing them, too. This is one of those things where experience plays a role in pricing; knowing the materials. Now, had the plastic metal components been actual metal, and of better quality - as well as using higher end crystals, pearls, etc - I would expect those prices to be much higher - and would definitely pay accordingly. Well done explanation and use of those lower quality kits! Bravo. Thank you for sharing your experience. {I am a professional beader/designer/maker of stuff as well, lol.}

I’m not sure if I saw any John Bead kits but I might go to another Walmart and check out what they have. Thanks for your kind comment!

@@SpacePickleDesigns Correction; I meant Jesse James bead kits, not John Bead kits. My apologies. Nevertheless, I love what you were able to come up with, and it's nice to see videos encouraging beginners to go after their dreams. I only wish I had the know-how and ability to make such videos myself. You rock!

You're very creative, and your designs are very unique. I do think that you need to factor in labor and skill when pricing your items, so I do feel that you wouldn't make back all your money. I personally would use the plastic beads only in children's jewelry. I would be worried that the finish would wear off, leaving my customers with inferior quality products. Thanks for the inspiration and ideas!

It’s nice to find a local craft fair that has a low or free table fee - only because it won’t cut into your bottom line! Online vendors like Etsy etc always take a cut and the market is kind of flooded on there. Thanks for your comment!😊

Walmart beads aren't the best quality. And plastic "beads" are not my first choice. I've looked at some of them and it's a hard pass for me. To each their own.

You are entitled to your view of course, but the creator should be respected for the time and effort. In my shop I lowered my earring prices from 6 dollars to five. I will not go lower. I would rather have no sale then give things away for a song. I am not Walmart.
