What Cards Will Be In The New Set Next Week?? - Pokemon TCG Pocket

Pretty sure it will be a continuation of set A1. Somewhere between 40-70 Cards. We currently have 15 EX Pokemon, so around 3-5 new EX Pokemon seems reasonable. Set A1 was completly based on Kanto. Ye, there are some Pokemon from different regions. But lets be real, its a Kanto Set. So far we are still missing some stuff out of Kanto, which is the Pokemon League and the Elite 4. Coincidentally all the ace Pokemon from the Elite 4 have an EX Pokemon: Gengar -> Agatha Lapras -> Lorelei Machamp -> Bruno Dragonite -> Lance I could see some new Support Cards coming, in the form of the Elite 4 and they act like the current gym leader cards. Giving buffs to their Pokemon or do something else. Maybe we get Dragonite EX and a couple random Pokemon with unique effects, to fill out the Set and have a decent influence on the meta. They already have descriptions for stuff, that isnt in the game. As you said: Burn, Confusion, Stadium and Equipment Cards like in the original Card Game. Personally I doubt, that we will see Metal/Dark Type EX Pokemon. Dark and Metal wasnt part in Kanto, so we will mostlikly get them in the second Set, which will likely be based around Jotho. Thats my guess, a Pokemon Kanto League Mini-Set. :)

Set two will most like be Kalos based cause of he z a games, pokemon loves cross promotion they won't miss the opportunity to promote the game through this and go. And I also feel like dark is guaranteed because so many people complain about Mewtwo, they won't leave the meta decks unchecked at least if they want the game to have a life span. And it's already falling out of favor with a lot of the players

this is a super cool and well thought out concept! i would be beyond happy if they did exactly what you said. i hadn't really been thinking about the Elite 4 like that but it's a great theme, and they could even have a Champion Blue trainer card on top of it all! maybe that could work with Charizard, Venusaur, OR Blastoise, somehow? i'm curious to see if they're going to double down on Kanto stuff or sit on it for a while so there can be another moment of hype down the road when they revisit. honestly even more excited to see now, thank you for the comment!

My bet A1a is going to be Mew ex + Elite 4 (possibly dragonite ex, proper support card for pokemon like machamp ex, gengar ex and even more water supporter card)

Im sure the next promo card we will get is a charizard since we got pika at launch, mewtwo recently..so must put it out before the "next set" in january.

Hi Levin! They could possibly release an Eevee set since they just released one for the TCG in Japan and we're getting it next month in North America. At least that's my wishful thinking, since I'm a huge Eevee fan. I run Dragonite/Jolteon in Pocket. You?

i actually hadn't thought about doing tie-ins with the physical TCG! that's a super cool idea! also hi, nice to see you on pokemon content hahaha my favorite deck is probably pure Charizard EX with Moltres, but i have fun playing the Charcanine variant too. and lately i've been really enjoying Articuno EX + Greninja!

Also they could use an evolution skip card to let you skip a stage on evolution, pokedoll, pokeflute (or Full Heal) and maybe a card that pulls a fossil base out of your deck since you can't do that with pokeball. Pokemon trader could also be a good alternative to pokemon evolution skip. The defender card from the real TCG could work as well since they don't have resistances in this game and it could sort of work as one for a turn. Oh and the very obvious energy recycle/retrieval and item finder cards that you mentioned.

@@revo5124 you never know.... but I would guess it would drop when this first set closes so people that don't have the set completed might be able to use cards they don't have base or stage 1 pokemon for. evolution skip isn't some super powerful card....

i believe that they have said Genetic Apex will stay available after this and the next new set release, and my understanding is that you will maintain pack points as long as the pack is available! so pack points should stay when this set comes out. i haven't spent any of mine yet and i would be furious if i lost them like that, there's no way they would do that without making a clear announcement about it

To play off of your suggestion for specific trainers’ pokemon getting added: idk if they would actually add that so soon, or even do a set based off gen 2 so soon after initial release honestly, because bringing all of gen 2’s Pokémon in is still ALOT of cards to add. That is 100 more Pokémon each designated a card, plus however many got ex’s and all of the variants. So just with Pokémon added alone, that is like another 150ish cards? Idk man. MAYBE they would do something like that 6 months or a year in? Or maybe a big update like that would happen around Pokémon day in February? I just see the mini sets being no more than 100 cards added, MAX. And that needs to include items and trainers as well as Pokémon. Realistically, this soon after initial launch, I COULD see them adding in more kanto based cards in the mini set……. Because we have all of the gym leaders, and going back to how you brought up the “Lance’s Dragonite” card: I personally would LOVE to see some elite four trainer cards added. Lance, Agatha, Bruno, and Lorelei. I could see some full art variations of the professor oak card being added. I could see gold card variants of the pokeball or Pokédex added. MAYBE Team Rocket. Red. Blue. Green. But other than that, I’m not too sure we are gonna see many more Pokémon added this quickly. Idk, when I look back at when the card game originally came out in the late 90’s, the base set was the biggest, and then the subsections of card sets released after that were ALOT smaller sets, aimed at complimenting what was already established. I think the fossil set has like a total of 53 cards added? Personally, I think they may just add a bunch more items and trainers to the established base of genetic apex, since those cards seem to be on the low side compared to all the Pokémon already in the set. I don’t think this mini set is gonna give us many Pokémon. Maybe 20 more, but who knows. I am just trying to not get my hopes too high for what is to come. I think this set will only have 80-100 cards added total, and I think it is going to be less heavy on the mons than the base set was. We will see what happens though.❤️‍🔥

Just make it so Misty only gives one energy and take away to coin flip. I personally hate how misty is a 50% chance to go mimus one. As fir' the other cards, just give us one more version of all of the Kanto starter pre-evolutions and to make the decks more consistent, and more energy generation fir' all the elements.

misty is in a really weird place to balance now, there's no way they can make it a guaranteed one energy without significantly buffing Brock... i love the idea of more variants of the kanto starters though! please give me a Charmander that isn't SUFFERING to start on

I be happy if they didn't remove any of the packs like tcg live does. Plus for trading don't see how that going work with crown cards or special cards. Like if i trade a rare for a super rare like in real life. Trading will fail. Has for the next set i'm thinking a mini set with new trainer cards or if the go down a holiday set for Christmas would be exciting but what do i know i can just wishful thinking what it could be. Pokemon pocket has to prove to me i can get all cards and crowns as a free to play player or i go back to tcg live where everything is perfect.😂😮😅
