i don’t know if i agree with the theory that men can have a sexual relationship and the woman’s title doesn’t get upgraded to something more than friends status. the reason why i say that is that the man doesn’t really understand the consequences for themselves in their journey to explore a women. sure a man can have good control over their own emotions but god did not give them an inherent switch of control where they can turn it off or on. i really think that it’s not that easy for them to not fall for a woman they are dating casually. I’d known this man my whole life at one point when my first love had Left me ,when ran into each other n I knew for sure there must be somebody behind me lol i never forgot that and he never left my side again ,he was one of the most honorable people I’ve ever met,I knew that if God Himself was trying to smote me he would cover me n say God PLEASE NO,I’d known him my whole life n he never once even raised his voice to me even when I left him to go back to my first love even after he said he wanted to marry me n would do anything necessary to stay together (I just didn’t believe he really loved me that he came from a different life than me n that if he really knew me he’d feel different n I wasn’t over my ex enough to to anybody else take my heart in his hands just to destroy,I never played games with him ,but I did do little things to see did he care enough to fight for me ...I went back to my ex n never heard or saw him again for years but never forgot how wonderful a man he was n how wonderful he was to me ....moved back home yrs latter n we got back together but he was acting at times so horrible ,after we split he got with another girl he had just bought her a ring n found out she n a guy he knows where cheating n had been lying...being hurt so bad that u just mean n hate love ...I understood that so I was gonna give him no way he or anybody else could ever dought I loved him,I let him make a ass of me to everybody I gave him all I had ,he was on more than a pedestal to me he was on the roof top,and the payoff was worth it his love was worth it only because of the deep love n trust honor that he had proved to me...we married ,20 yrs now n I never got that love again not only that he’s very belittling he’s not married for love I was a stone that could kill a lot of birds at one time he waiting someone to always be there for him to handle the things that in his eyes was my duty to do ,there was no let’s get this done together ,I got sick after complication with our last child n I found out real quick I was on own n no one really cared n no one was gonna help n it was made clear that he didn’t like the situation and looks at me with such disgust and irritation...why n how could he have lied so, he has more than proven when the shit hits the fan he doesn’t give a shit as long as I play my part n handle the home n kids etc he won’t come home angry n treating you a lesser n lesser in his eyes 🙁

Elliot Scott my ex bf came back after we broke up for 5 months telling me he wants me back (he was the dumper). He told me about his fears and we agreed to get back together. I slept with him on that night itself. He told me he still needs sometime to adjust himself as he has used to single life the past 5 months and also being stressed with work. We were together for almost a year, broke up because of his ego and stupid little arguments during stressful moment during Covid19, but not infidelity. I’ve changed my poor habits and he knows that, he said he will change his ego too. He does start to reply to my messages more (compared to the complete ignorance before that) but it’s still cold, unlike before, no emoji, no calling me every night. Most of the time I’m the one who has to initiate dates (we just got back for about 2 weeks). He brought me to meet 1 of his close friends for a drink last Friday and had dinner with his grandparents. But he still giving me “I’m busy with work, I’m stressed” excuses when I asked why he’s no longer giving me emojis and why I can’t post the outing picture on social media like before (his excuse was his colleagues will think he’s out partying and not working.) I’ve casually brought up twice that his hot & cold behavior worries me and bothers me, I told him I can understand his work stress but I feel it’s not fair to use his work stress & punish me that way. I’ve also told him that I’m not up for friends with benefits and asked him if we are back in a committed relationship, and he said yes. But I know his actions aren’t as in it as before. I’m not sure if it’s reasonable to give him time or not. Elliot, is he really serious about getting back with me? Should I dump him (if I dump him there’s no way we’ll ever patch back again) or stick to it and go with the flow? Appreciate if you can share your expertise. Thanks

I'm just another person who's not a specialist, not do I really know the situation, but it does sound like he cares in some level and you've got a chance if you pull back and quit settling to be his hook-up. But if you pull back, just be calm about it, and tell him this is no longer good enough for you because you like him too much and want more (I don't care that you think he already knows, there's power in voicing it!), And that you can't do it anymore like that and are going to seek it out from someone else who can give you that commitment, and then actually date other guys. The problem with this though, is if you're not ready to lose him, you could totally lose him. That's just my amateur input, but I do know if you're letting it happen, don't expect him to commit. But I don't think you should settle. Let what you want to happen happen, and be willing to walk away to make room for sometime else. Oh, but do tell him how you feel.

I had a fwb and at first I had thought I caught feelings but it was soon after my husband passed ( don't judge me on that ) the longer we went which soon would have been a year and a half well I realized I just enjoyed the sex well over the last 6 months I had to remind him on things he would say that this wasn't a relationship which he said he didn't want a relationship but over the last few weeks he really started saying and doing things that made it seem he wanted more but denied it if anything was said or wouldn't say anything or acted like he didn't know what I was talking about well the other day he decide we needed to take a break and asked me what I wanted I told him I didn't want to stop but if that's what he wants I would give it to him but asked him why if all we are doing is fucking he said he didn't want a relationship i said we don't have a relationship but i asked him if it was because he wanted to see someone else and if so that was fine we would end it but he said no I couldn't find another woman that gives me what I do well the last time I talked to him about it all he could say was I didn't want a relationship and gave me stupid reasons why like because sometimes we gave each other a kiss bye or I would simply say tell your mom hi by the end the break was supposed to be 1-2 months now it went to 6 months then 8 months and then 1 year and I told him this is stupid and I'm done then he said well we will see after 6 months if I'm not seeing anyone maybe we can try again please try and explain this bullshit to me because honestly I'm confused on this ty Elliot
