Yes 99% of time you have warped rotor. They warp from heat. I had a friend tell me " I took my tires off and my rotors look straight " you cannot see them warped. Just change rotors and while you are at it change pads. Your problem will be solved.

That’s what I need atm. Are amazon brake rotor kits w pads reliable? I mean I don’t want to go to dealership and amazon is cheaper than oreiley and anybody know the ballpark estimate for a complete new rotors/pads installed and I could keep or used the same calipers right?, I’m doing all my fluids change soon and the brake rotor issue will be next but will be done from a trusted local mechanic near me, I do feel vibration on heavy breaking any advice is appreciated yaal

I haven't used my car for 3 months since I had an accident. I hit my car from the front. my brake fluid level has since shown to still have sufficient amount of liquid so I know there was never any damage done to this. I had my break calipers and pads replaced a year ago. I have managed to put my car back together but on the first test drive I heard a lot of wear. there was vibration when pressing on the brakes. my car had been washed and protected with a cover since December and I don't think there is any issue with dirt getting in or being trapped the calipers but im not sure. I drove my car for about 30 mins when I tested it, constantly applying hard pressure to the brakes. yet there was no difference from when I initially started driving it. could there be a bigger problem than just the fact my brakes haven't been used in 3 months time?

Vibration on the brake pedal when applying the brakes is usually caused by uneven contact between the rotor and the pads or the drum and shoe.

I drive a 15’ Merc C Class W205 and every 3 months I have to have the discs and pads replaced due to juddering under braking. I’ve gone through 5 sets now. I only drive it once a week for less than 50 miles and do no sudden braking. Anyone know what might be causing this?

cartechhome first ,,my speed is 70 to 80 km then i apply. Brake gently . Second i felt the vibration from my passenger side then as I continue vehicle vibrate only front.... few day ago all caliper pad and rotor r brand new. All replace. And i got this problem??? Help me

@@ItsKCs If the vibration you felt happens when braking, then it's related to brakes, and since the caliper and the rotor is brand new and that vibration happens on the front, then it is possible that one of the front end components is loose, it is possible that the front wheel bearing is worn or loose.

I put on a brand new drum.. but not new shoes .. and I'm getting judder in my pedal and my emergency brake not holding.. what could be the issue

Usually, if you replace the drum you should also replace the shoe with a new one. The brake pedal judder usually indicates a problem on the front brakes which is a warped rotor. You said you replace the drum so I assume you replace the rear brake since the rear brake is usually drum type. A warped drum on the rear will make your entire car shake during braking. Probably your problem is a warped rotor on the front.

I have a Hyundai Elantra 2005, we have Changed my brake pads, rotor, brake line, and caliper. But my brakes still have issues. The pedal judders when hitting the brakes about 45% of the time. So it's not even consistent. My car veers to either side when braking, but mostly the driver side. It also will veer while driving in either direction. The brake pedal fluctuates. Sometimes it will feel stiff and other times it will feel more loose. Typically feels loose in the brake pedal after I drive for awhile without stopping, then the next time I hit them there's more space in the pedal then there should be. It sometimes feels like the brakes are sticking and causing vibration through my pedals and steering wheel (as well as the car's body a little). My mechanic says my rear motor mount is definitely bad, would that cause some of these symptoms? He also thinks it could be a master cylinder problem? Could anyone give me their take? Do you agree or disagree?

If the the brake pedal vibrates only at heavy braking but on normal braking it does not vibrate, it is normal for cars with ABS. If there is also vibration coming from front end in addition to the brake pedal then the problem is mis-alignment of front pads and disc, but if there is no vibratiob from the front end its possible that the problem is misalignment of rear drum and shoe. As for the pulling during braking, the possible cause is imbalance tire pressure, or the front end is out of alignment, it is also possible that the disc are mismatch it means one disc is thicker than the other, it's difficult to pinpoint the exact problem without inspection of the actual condition of the vehicle, the above mentioned are just a possibility.

@@cartechhome I forgot to mention that my car does not have ABS. The brakes seem to stick some. Wouldn't that cause the vibration? My car seems to (rarely) sway while driving right to left.

My brake peddle will vibrate and get a grinding noise under the brake peddle somewhere below the brake peddle. This only occurs on snow or ice, and in very low speed. I have had rotors, calipers, pads changed on all for tires, also purchased a brand new set of tires. Thought that would take care of the issue, but it has not. I have looked high and low but have not seen my exact problem addressed. I have had my state inspection done two times now and they didn't catch anything. Anyone have an idea of what it is??

Sounds more like the ABS system is working properly when you are on slippery surfaces. ABS automatically releases the brakes in quick pulses to prevent sliding and that will feel like a brake problem, but is actually the system operating normally.

@Cartechhome pads and rotors. Lubed pins, greased everything up back of pads, a little on the clips, and some of the ears of the pad. Went to try and bed them in and felt a lot of shaking, mostly in the pedal.

@@andrewm5190 Shaking of the body and shaking of the pedal have different causes, if the brake pedal is shaking or vibrating it is brake related, if the body is shaking possible problem is in the rear end, and the possibility is the rear wheel bearing.
