I'll never forget a massive blister I had in elementary school. I was playing on the monkey bars at recess for so long, basically my entire left palm became a blister. I bit into it, it started to leak, but it was taking a while so I slammed my palm against a brick wall. Juice splattered like a water balloon, my hand hurt like hell, and I went to class after recess. I was so glad to be right-handed. The floppy skin got annoying so I slowly peeled it off, causing more pain. Then I just dealt with it until it healed. Needless to say, I've been pretty traumatized of monkey bars ever since.

A Thumb Wearing A Hat during the mid 1990's Microsoft's net worth began to skyrocket. A lot of corporations, instead of letting the share prices go up divide the stock shares and lower the prices so there are more shares and people are willing to invest because they're cheaper. So with the net worth skyrocketing the stocks divided very quickly.

You forgot to mention when popping a blister: Have the needle enter healthy skin before entering the blister itself. This way the wound will close itself around the entrance hole and you stand much less of a chance of creating a large wound where the blister used to be.

Me and my brother got a second degree burn and we got blisters and they were the size of onions on our shoulders, the treatment is the worst part but I was high on Morphine and Nitrous Oxide, the dead skin and blisters were scrubbed off and all the goo went down the drain, then they put the Iodine on them and it was the most imaginable pain I've had. Also my Mum was watching the entire procedure, apparently that scarred her brain for life because of how disgusting it was and she couldn't do anything to help us...

here’s a tip for avoiding blisters, if they came from shoes that you either can’t wear socks with or your socks simply don’t go up high enough then put a bandaid over the area that got the blister, or if you think you’ll get a blister then do it anyway, when i was a kid i loved gelly sandals but the position of the button disagreed with my ankle and i discovered this trick, so i could keep my strange and outdated fashion sense and not be harmed by it, honestly if they came in adult sizes i’d still wear gelly sandals

Watching these older videos always throws me off. Simon looks so happy and like he can see the bright future ahead of him. Now he seems to be more sullen, a bit darker... not unlike a man who constantly talks about death and communism, who has _at least_ two people locked in his basement, and screams at his appliances on other channels. I suppose it's a bit easier to take him seriously like that which I suppose comes from the less freshfaced young man look. Love your work Whistleboy, keep it up.

I always heard never to pop my blisters too. One time I got one in the palm of my hand and decided to leave it alone like mother's everywhere say. After two weeks that blister was still there. I pushed against it and all the fluid suddenly spread outward inside my palm, turning my dime sized blister into a quarter sized one. I immediately put a needle through the edge of it and it healed after only a couple days. Moral of the story, just pop the damn thing. It will heal faster and be less painful.

The sun was out that day and you know since africa is a subsaharan continent it was hot lol. I leaned on a car (presumably parking for hours in the sun) and i jumped all of a sudden lol i cried all the way home as we drove. a part of my body (i dont remember which part) maybe my leg or arm was like a clear bubble with clear fluid in it. My aunt popped it with a pin and the end *I explained that with alot of unnecessary detail 😂*

They're such funny injuries. And it's incredible what our bodies do automatically to regenerate and heal. There's an entire subsystem that works inside of us every single second of every single day to keep us in tip top condition, and all we need to do is supply the nutrients and water, which happens to be pleasurable anyway. Truly awesome. I love watching the process overtime & seeing the bubble deflate, and eventually watching the dead skin fall off.

Then you clearly weren't being that strenuous, or you have a lot of calluses. As we speak, I have 5 blisters on my feet due to jogging, I don't exactly know why, but I am extremely prone to blisters. They don't really bother me, so I don't really care, but it is just sort of odd.

Also, after the blister has broken, put honey and a bandage on it. It heals so much faster. Although it's useless on an intact blister.

@@rumblefish9 Actually honey does have some minor antiseptic properties (and the moisture helps, too), so the idea to put honey on an open blister isn't entirely horrible. A medical antiseptic that is actually suitable to sterilize a wound area would be much better, of course.

Just a question, not necessarily a video suggestion. What is the tongue, a muscle or an organ? What is the skin on your tongue- is it part of the same organ as the skin on the outside of your body? And that goes for the skin in your mouth too- what's the difference between the skin inside your mouth and outside?

Keratinized stratified squamous epithelium, nonkeratinized stratified squamous epithelium, and specialized mucosa is the outer layer of the tongue it has layers with various functions and sorta like a skin, but the top or dorsum mucosal layer has bumps called lingual papillae, that exist in four varieties Filiform papillae that function as touch receptors. Foliate papillae contain taste buds. circumvallate papillae have specialized functions to clean other taste buds though secreting a fluid and are stimulated by different nerves than Foliate papillae, related to your saliva on your tongue when you smell or taste food. Yes the tongue is an organ. It contains many layers, many sensors, and 8 muscles and blood supply. The layers of the mucosa could be considered a skin of sorts, but not part of the same organ as your skin covering your body, but special to just the tongue. Mocosa made of different types of epithelium cells are found on internal organs, and even your the outer coating of arteries and veins. My explanation is way over simplified to give a layman's coverage of the topic. If you want to go deeper though, a search engine query would probably be a good start.

FYI there’s another way to pop blisters safely. As recommended to my patients I would tell them to rub a ice cube over it for several minutes until area becomes numb, then use a needle to feed through one end and out the other, then with the same ice cube or another cube slowly massage the area until the plasma leaves the blister

I usually get water blisters on my feet. Be it after I walked while wearing a new pair of shoes, or after I walked barefoot because the weather's warm and pleasant. The first blister I got was on the sole of my left foot. I went for a walk that day and I didn't notice it until late at night. I had no clue what it was so I popped it and water came out. Nowadays, because of my frequent outdoor activities such as walking, hiking, or running, getting blisters on my feet is as expected as snow during March. Another way I can get them is when I overwork my hands, such as after chopping a lot of wood without wearing any gloves.
