He told me that he was calling 911 to get a Ambulance over there Immediately. They came and took her to the Hospital and she walked inside in her own and about one hour later she was dead. It just broke my heart and I think about her and the memories we shared to this day. RIP SHELL!😓🙏❤️

One of the administrators at my high school died of a brain aneurysm 2 years ago when I was a sophomore. It scared everyone, we thought nothing of it when she left school with a head ache. But, a day and a half later we got the news that she died at the hospital of a brain aneurysm. Everyone was shocked, we didn’t know what to think. We couldn’t wrap our head around what happened, she was an amazing administrator and there were no signs of anything being wrong with her. Brain aneurysms are silent killers. We have moved and we have a new admin to replace her, but everyone does say that they get worried when ever they get head aches now.

My dad died in 1989 when his cerebral aneurysm burst at work. Although no cause was ever given for the aneurysm, I'm of the opinion that his lifelong snoring played a part. An aneurysm develops when a weakened part of the artery becomes thinner in time, primarily because the blood exerts pressure on the walls when it passes through the blood vessel. This bulge may rupture and cause internal bleeding. Though aneurysms may occur in any part of the body, the most common site is the brain, which makes stroke one of the leading causes of death worldwide. A ruptured aneurysm releases blood into the spaces in the brain, causing subarachnoid hemorrhage (SAH). This catastrophic event needs urgent medical attention. This condition is fatal, with a 50 percent risk of death. Scientists have found that anger actually causes an almost seven-fold increase in the risk of a brain bleed. But having high blood pressure, being under stress, or doing any heavy lifting or working out can also cause your blood pressure to rise and can cause the aneurysm to burst.

Brain aneurysms are no joke. Very serious. I have four, two of which was clipped by pterional craniotomy. They were very close to rupture. I actually had symptom's which brought to me my family physician, and images were taken of my head and that's how they were found. I thank my lucky star's that I'm still here. I still have two in the other side of my brain that are presently small and are being monitored by my neurosurgeon. They can rupture when they are small even though it's normally not the case but, it does happen. My heart goes out to anyone with these, it's literally like walking around feeling like your a ticking time bomb. It's a awful

@@catherinebirch2399 I don't know for certain other than I unfortunately am one of the ones that have several weak spots in arteries and vessels in my brain and being a long term smoker and severe hypertension that wasn't diagnosed until recently was probably a big contributing factor. Why do only humans get these things? Iv`e never heard of animals dying from aneurysms.
@sunshineNshit7 жыл бұрын
The reason why we don't hear about it in animals is because people don't care, when it happens to an animal (which it does). It's underreported because when an animal suddenly dies we don't do autopsies on them. moreover, when an animal suddenly becomes sick and is showing signs and symptoms of increased intercrainial pressure (ie. decrease level of consciousness (LOC), vomiting) we don't rush the animal for a cat scan (CAT scan).

Is there an xray you can get to see if you have enlarged blood vessels in your brain?

yes...an angiogram via CT scan or MRI. (MRI is preferred)

a regular CT scan can pick them up as well. usually, all we have is a CT scan on file when we are treating one (I work in a neuro ICU). while an MRI or CT angiogram will give you the best picture, there is usually no time to do either in an emergent situation. If a CT angiogram is done they can do a pipe line stent and/or a coling to stop the annurism from bleeding.
@binthrdonthat6 жыл бұрын
The best way is a contrast CT or angiogram, but they won't do an angiogram for that, they save those pre surgery

What about recurring pain behind only the left eye, with no other symptoms? On November 15, I started having this happen to me while using my iPhone. First I called the UHC 24/7 nurseline. She recommended to get a CT scan. But since emergency clinics take forever, unless you are bleeding or have broken bones, I went to a local urgent care clinic. They said to use OTC lubricating eye drops and referred me to see an ophthalmologist. My ophthalmologist said if the eye drops don't work, then to get a CT scan. I got the eye drops, but they did not seem to make any real difference, especially since my eyes are not dry. Nevertheless, the pain went away after a day or so. I have not gone to an emergency ward yet about this since the pain went away. But I'm afraid it may come back and possibly be fatal, especially since I'm almost 20 years older than that TV reporter who died. What do any nurses or doctors here say I should do?
