I’m moving from a m135i to the long range Tesla model 3. I was able to adapt to the single pedal driving and no indicator stalks etc quite easily. I’m also a left foot brake and love twisty roads as an enthusiast. But I understand how some people find it hard to adapt.

Yeah this will be a smooth transmission for you. And I agree that for some no stalks will be a big issue, but for others a quick adoption.

I think the M3H is "No Drama"... i wouldn't call that boring, it's really confident in corners and can take a lot

Let me be the first to comment. I went and watched Doug's review, the part about the handling/driving: saying it's bland, basically, while driving it in a straight line, possibly on a highway, doesn't really give credibility. Of course, he may have driven it for a week and got a fairly decent idea about the handling, but this model is, let's say, world praised for it's driving capabilities compared to other electric cars! Again, electric cars! Saying something is.. some way, without comparing it/without a point of reference, and saying it's not like the industry is saying, raises some questions, for me at least. In the end, I find this type of review more educative and believable, and his, more tv/radio "entertainment" (more volume less substance). @Doug: yes, how can I help you?;) Keep up the good work, both!

Thanks for your insightful comment. I love Doug Demuro, in fact his story on how he started his KZbin channel in Graham Stephan’s interview what motivated me to start my channel to do what I like. A point that I was also trying to make is that many people who buy Model 3 for the tech don’t really realize that it is a driver’s car, and the only way to experience that is to take it to the twisty roads.

I thought the 2024 redesign was much “softer” than my ‘23 model 3. The rear doesn’t “kick” over bumps like the ‘23 model Y or ‘23 model 3 does. There’s zero “crashing” feeling over sharp bumps too. Speed bumps feel much softer than the model Y. But at high speed I’m not sure if it was much different

Thanks for the feedback. Overall I liked 2024 refresh, they really upped the Premium feel in this car yet keeping it still fun

Its ok to just be a commuter. At 39k its a Camry XLE or prius Prime competitor. The dual motor is way spicier with its acceleration

So, yes without fed rebates in US Model 3 is back to premium pricing. For me personally this is more desirable than outgoing Model Y with all the rebates, but that's just me. Dual motor Model 3 is far spicier but slightly heavier. I think you can't go wrong with either one. In my case I would use Model 3 mostly for commuting and occasional back roads, so base Model 3 would be sufficient. I am still not convinced for long distance travel to drive electric cars.

my question though should lease or buy the tesla model 3
@100miledrive
@100miledrive 2 ай бұрын
Thanks for the comment. Not long ago I would advocate for buy because Tesla's values were very good. Today it's 50/50 since there are too many of them now. If you really like the car then buy it, but if not sure, maybe OK to lease, the only problem they won't let you buy it out from lease in case you do like it and want to keep longer.

Would i buy a new one? Definitely not! And for one single reason only. Otherwise i'dd Love to! I'dd even prefer the ventilated seats over the sportier feel. Having to lean forward too often to vent does away with the sporty driving i'm sure :D. There's even a €5000 incentive here (and a bit more ore less in other EU countries) for a new model 3. I'm wondering if us Europeans were considered in the design, but i feel it was mostely the cost cutting that was. There's lots of roundabouts and unplanned organically grown intersections and other un-USA traffic stuff here. So the omittance of signal stalks isn't merely annoyingly inconvenient. It's plainly dangerous. (And if not it's at least forcing tesla drivers to rapidly become the replacers for BMW drivers in the condescending joke's pun.) But, thanks to this review i'm feeling better to be looking for an older model. I'dd have the sportier feel And the signal stalks :)

Thanks for the comment. Yes, this new interior design without stalks is a clear signal of Tesla’s vision for autonomous driving. I heard many reviewers saying before 2024 Mode 3 release that head-up display would be so nice in Model 3. But not only there is no head-up display they took out stalks entirely. I made another video discussing some of these things, will release next week. So yes buy getting older version you will not lose much, in fact will gain some. I do like though cooled seats option and better mterior quality on the doors.

Are you for real man? Old and new Tesla model 3 is a huge difference... And feeling is sporty enough and you don't feel every bump on the road like the old one. And how exactly is removal of stalks dangerous? You literally have buttons beyond your thumb so you don't have to move your hand at all...

Hi @@MarkoMarkovina , thanks for the question. I'll try to explain more clearly. In two specific cases it makes it more dangerous if you want to follow traffic regulations. Exiting roundabouts and indicating to change direction immediately after a previous turn. Both situations mostly have the steering wheel turned in a a position where it's very difficult to press the buttons at the opportune moment while keeping your eyes on the road/traffic. The least dangerous option then would be not to use the indicators at all. Leaving the safety in hands of the drivers around you who would need to anticipate yet another Tesla (used to be BMW in the jokes) -driver going about without using indicators when obliged to.

@@100miledrive I'm looking forward seeing that next video! Also, would you happen to be (ao) comparing to the E46 series when you mention the 3-series? Grasping what 'soft' or 'hard' suspension means is difficult for me because i don't have a lot of experience with different cars. But I did drive a 318ti compact with towing hook (which have harder rear suspension) for a long time. I rarely experienced that to be too hard, but it had a lot more air in the tires (15 or 16") than the model 3 has.

@@LukasintheSkys 2024 Model 3 I am comparing to the outgoing BMW 330i on G20 platform. E46 was very engaging/firm BMW. The outgoing 3 series is very athletic when you throw it around but in regular city traffic it's not crashy and soaks road imperfections quite well. BMW has gotten pretty sophisticated with their approach to cater to wider range of people and Tesla basically designed Model 3 to target BMW 3 series buyers.
Should you buy a Model 3 or Model Y in 2024?
