Sometimes you just don't want to fight no more.. today I had the classic "but you look fine". I try to do sports everyday but I quit the gym and only exercise at home because I got tired of the "how is it that you can't do more" or the " you were in the army before.. man up". I'm tired, I'm lonely and I'm in pain but what keep me going is that I know there are others out there suffering just like I am and that this suffering is something that connects us anonymously as brothers and sisters and if that doesn't mean something then nothing have ever had any meaning. To all of you who carry your pain in silence.. you are not alone ❤

Daniel Stocker I totally get the alone feeling. That is the part that I think I have the most difficulty with. No one understands nor do they seem to want to hear. I am 59 yrs old and I worked out the better part of my life so that I could enjoy the later part of my life doing things like ride my harley and ski and swim etc etc but I broke my back 15 yrs ago and I have not had a decent sleep or a pain free day since. I FEEL SO ALONE. I have no drive, no real interest in anything other than woodworking. I have a full wood shop with every tool you could want. I can't even do that due to the shop not being organized and my ocd kicks in real hard the min I walk into my shop. I never had ocd before my accident but I have it now. If I didn't hurt so bad I would have the most organized beautiful shop that you could possibly imagine. Well the last thing I want to do is wine about my problems. I find I loose people right about this point in the conversation. I'm one of those guys that looks just fine. I'm 6'1" and 250lbs. And I look like I could pick up an engine block. Which I probably could but I would pay for it for weeks. I have sciatic pain and then nerve pain from my waist down. My palvis feels like it's filled with crushed glass most mornings. Nice way to greet the new day hu? Anyhow that's my part. I just wanted to say you are not alone. I know I'm not either but I sure feel lonely.

Rheumatoid Arthritis runs in my family and along with that I have a ripped tendon in my heel from a sport accident a while back, I’ve had this since I was 12 and understand what it’s like. To look fine, but not be. Especially with other conditions I have that people don’t know about and that most people think I’m faking or making up for attention. It’s hard, but we can get through it. x

This is my story 💞 My chronic pain is invisible. I have had a chronic headache for as long as I can remember, and also other chronic illnesses. I am only 12, and nobody understands me. They just say "Oh, I get headaches too, they're not that bad". I get severe migraines, and all this is messing up my life, making it difficult to do anything. I have had surgery already, but it did not help. I am currently waiting on an MRI scan to see if my brain is structurally wrong, or if I have brain cancer. I also have medicine side effects of fatigue, which makes it more difficult. I am just sick of people telling me that I'm too young to feel this way, or asking me why I'm not better yet, or telling me to think positive and the pain will go away. I know that this didn't seem like a lot, as I didn't include many other illnesses I have, but I just tried to give the outline. Sorry if I sounded like I was complaining. 😢 If anyone would like to comment and leave their story, I would love that. ❤️ PS. No hate pls

I had a tragic injury at 11 years of age and resorted in the beginning of the worst pain I’ve experienced. My back feels like a pile of scrambled bones being forcefully broken! If I could have a penny for everytime I’ve either lied about being fine or felt lost that no one would know, I’d be a millionaire. 2 years of waking up unable to be with friends I can’t stand for more than 24 seconds (tested) without my back aching! Life is hard and no one understands. And Ik others might be harder but the amount of times I’ve cried silently knowing that pain is right behind me scars me😢😖😞

I have battled the cluster headaches . For thirty years it sucks and it is hard. But you will surprise yourself with how tough you can be. And one positive is you will know who you're friends are . Good luck and I hope you find a solution to you're problem . And always be able to say no if you need rest you need it I learned that too late . I'm sorry it's happening in you're teen years that sucks to.

Please don't ever feel like you ever have to apologize for how you feel. Your feelings and problems matter. It's not your fault that you feel like this and I'm sending lots of love your way. I was around your age when I felt the symptoms and got tested. I am not 21 years old and still in chronic pain all over my body 24/7. I'm not going to tell you it gets easier because it most definitely does not. However, there are good things in life such as friends and fun hobbies that can make the the pain lessen just a tad bit. I am sending love your way!

Chronic pain, it's takes your life away, people thinks you are ok but you know you are not. They say how are you doing? Before you can respond they say you looking well. You smile and move on. It's 2am I am still awake, I am tired. It's been 8 years I had to retire because of my illness. Watching these comments helps me to be reassured I am not crazy. Thanks for posting.

Being conscious of your face, being accused of being in a bad mood or sulking, holding your breath when you stand up or sit down or do anything in fear that a sound will escape before you can reel it back in. Work lockers and work space where no handbags are allowed when constant meds, water, distractions, mints, magnets, excuses to pace around every fifteen minutes are needed every minute of the day and my handbag is just pure spoonie essentials.

I've been dealing with fibromyalgia since I was a little girl. This video is very accurate. That is exactly what I go through on a daily basis, especially because my age and appearance "don't match" my illness. No one can really understand what it feels like unless they go through the same thing.

All too real. Just started taking painkillers for my chronic neck, back, and shoulder pain. Felt like I had no other option and I’m tired of being tired and in constant pain. I have a full time job that requires me to be up by 5am and not getting sleep the night before from the pain is absolute hell. Thanks for this video. It describes in perfect detail how I feel.

I never have seen a video from the people like me that worked hard outside jobs in the cold for forty years. Started in sixth grade throwing Newspaper's. Was also in a terrible auto accident. Worked the last ten just miserable and no quality of life. Traction machine, heat pads. Stretching my back out and Tens machine. I never felt like doing anything. I was a single dad and worked two hard jobs both at least six days a week. Had a mobile repair company working on heavy equipment and large trucks outside. In my twenties I changed semi tires. Also I worked on the trailers out in the cold and rain. People that have worked in a climate controlled work place and worked jobs like at a desk complain about their back hurting. That ain't shit. Men like me all we knew was to still keep working pain didn't stop us because we had kids to take care of. I ripped my right shoulder and had two rotator cuff surgeries that didn't work because of so much scar tissue and bones spurs along with very bad arthritis. My spine and neck is wiped out. Cervical arthritis degenerated disc from head to my butt crack. My knees and ankles gone. Hernias in my stomach and balls.. sciatic nerve killing me for 23 years. But I didn't stop until the shoulder went. I have a 90% disability in my right shoulder and since I can't really use the right arm now my left shoulder is almost as bad as my right. When I finally got on opiates for pain relentless pain from head to toe I started finally getting some real relief. I had eaten Advil and Tylomal like jelly beans. I have spent a fortune on every type of Muscle rub known to man. But with my pain medicine I can clean my home except the shower. I mean it's far from spotless but I am able to keep it respectful. Yesterday I cleaned my bathroom and it was very hard on me but it was like I climbed Mt. Everest I felt like Hillary(not the evil woman but the first man to make the climb. I would never be able to do that without my pain medicine because with it i feel it for days. Am able to get out and walk a little bit. Go to the store and Church. All this stuff about the opioid made up crises. I say that because study after study has proven only 1 to 5% of chronic pain patients abuse and or sell their medicine because we need it everyday. Out of that lying government study of 68,000 deaths only 1,600 died with just their pain medicine. 66,400 had alcohol, bootleg feytenol and heroin, meth, cocaine in their system and way over half just had street drug's in their system. Marijuana doesn't count. Researchers have given enough prescription medicine in Primates that it almost stops the Respiratory system down and injected up.to two kilos of concentrated THC and they don't die. The only people the government can target is people tbey can find and that's people like me and our doctors that love and care for chronic pain patients. But our government wants to put them in jail. Threaten their practice and families. Our government has no business in our medical care. They are practicing medicine and that used to be very illegal. We are treated like criminals having to piss in a cup when I need to piss on Jeff Sessions and the DEA. They are nothing but a protected organized crime syndicate.

What I learned about pain specialy chronic is: "accept it". That takes lots of time and get you a bit stoic (what isnt that bad) but eating tons of painkillers and go to doctors all the time will make it worse. That doesnt mean you shouldnt seek for help BUT accept your pain. Its your journey. Some people say pain makes you strongher. I cant sign that. Its just a saying to make you feel better. But it does makes you see the bigger picture in life what really is important to worry about and what Is just nonsense.

Very accurate. I've been dealing with migraines since I was about ten and I've been super dependent on Excedrin because that's about the only thing that keeps the pain at bay. My aunt is convinced that if I think happy thoughts or change my diet or exercise more that I'll be fine. This sounds absolutely ridiculous because she's a nurse. What she doesn't know is that I don't want to change my lifestyle for CHRONIC migraine. It will ALWAYS be there and it's not something I can change, considering the fact that it's genetic. I have wanted to end my own life to stop the pain. Happy thoughts can't fix that. I hope friends and family members of people with chronic pain see this video.

Sophia Iain'ttellingyoumylastname Nurses are taught western medicine that typical includes pharmaceutical drugs. This is why I hate when nurses speak on behalf of diseases they dont understand. My only disagreement with you is when you said its genetic. Pain is your body's way of telling you that something is wrong. Dont live your life in pain because you think there is no cure. Seek alternative practices.
