Yvonne even at the beginning of her career brought up the Action/Comedy/Romance show to the next level. Surely it had great writers and actors but still her immense effort of conveying Sarah's emotion stood out of everything in the show. She is phenomenal.

Thanks. A good selection, which also points up that in addition to being a great love story, or perhaps amplifying it, Chuck is about transitions and transformations. We see some that are fantastically successful (Chuck and Sarah,) some that are pretty successful (Morgan,) some surprisingly so (Casey,) and some that don't happen at all (Jefster.) What raises all this another level is Yvonne's performance. Really, anyone surprised at her acting chops in The Handmaid's Tale just wan't paying attention to what she was doing here. Hers is the most complex transition of all, and Yvonne captures it perfectly.

I completely agree. It was fun to watch the characters grow. All did superb acting, and were perfectly cast. Yvonne certainly did a fantastic job and was very nuanced in her role. And that is what made the show work. She had a tough role to play and did a great job.

@@SteveFresca-qk1vd Well, I've only watched those seasons of Dexter she was in. I find the guy who actually played Dexter to be rather boring. It was a bit disconcerting seeing Yvonne as a killer, but she did phenomenally in the role.. As for HT, I was turned off by the premise. Too weird, even for me (even coming from someone who loved the absolute weirdness and darkness that was Sleepy Hollow, not to mention the X-Files). You will notice, there was a certain season of another show that Yvonne was in, that I didn't mention. The less said about that shit show of a season, the better

I think Sarah was trying to subtlely tell Bryce that their relationship was in the past, when they were dancing. Thus, all of her criticisms.

@@ErikLeber-td7oj It was in the bedroom even. While she kissed him and said he still "had it," she showed her disinterest. Granted, at that point she still thought he was a traitor, but even when she found out he "wasn't," she didn't run into his arms... She was done. She met Chuck.

@@jeffspector2458Bryce helped Chuck even more than he realized and kinda shot himself in the foot when he "saved" Chuck from being recruited into the CIA at Stanford. The two references to Omaha would seem to imply that Chuck and Sarah would've ended up working together earlier, had Bryce not intervened. But at that point, she would've likely just assumed that he was just another spy, like Bryce. The fact that Chuck gave her an opportunity for a life outside of spying was the biggest difference between him and Bryce.

The communicative body language displayed throughout the whole of Yavonne Stravinsky's performance as Sarah Walker is really something.

You can tell during the scene in the car, that Bryce is probably thinking something similar to what Cole says to Sarah later on about losing the girl to Chuck

Unfortunately, this is why the suggestion that the whole series is actually Chuck telling Sarah "our story" at the beach at the end, wouldn't work. Too many things that happened that Chuck wasn't aware of.

As someone already pointed out in regards to the episode in season 3 where the intersect was messing with Chuck's brain, it never occurred to them that the intel in the intersect could actually be wrong, on occasion? It turned out to be right, but just that they all jumped to the same conclusion about the timing of Chuck's flash when Sarah was on the boat seems kind of dumb.

So, Beckman was pretty much calling Chuck a loser, with her question in that first scene 😂
@SteveFresca-qk1vd10 ай бұрын
Yes. Even Beckman will warm up to Chuck. As you recall, there is a scene with her and Graham where they talk about all their secrets being put in an idiot, while watching Chuck and Morgan playing a bullfight game.

@@SteveFresca-qk1vd True. But even by the time of that scene, Chuck had already proven himself capable, several times. So it seems a bit harsh on Beckman's part.

@@SteveFresca-qk1vd Also, in retrospect, it doesn't make sense that Graham would've had that initial attitude towards Chuck. Presumably, he would've known Bryce wasn't actually a traitor. I would imagine probably something similar to what he says to Chuck after Sarah loses her memories in s5, that he can't lose them both. Even by s3, he clearly has softened on both of them, and would obviously know that losing Chuck at that point would pretty much destroy Sarah psychologically.
