I decided on Wand & Bow. I was on the fence with daggers but figured a bow would suit my playstyle more as a healer. Seems I made the right choice from this video, thanks dude!

I know this is a little late, but if you've not made up your mind yet... Hopefully this video helps you decide what to run first! I still recommend everyone who is new to take a couple hours running around testing out all the weapons before you level anything up though as the different weapons can really make this game feel fun for YOU! Also, I did mention in the video but you can really run any combination these are ones that I feel have the most synergy at the moment! 😊

Hi, they hand you one of each arch type in the tutorial. It’s why the first floor skills are unlocked right from the start so you can put together every weapon combo play with them soon as you get to Castleton instead of running into town and starting your adventure, run out in the Shores and play with the crowns Try the various weapon. You would spend a couple to three hours until you’ve tested everything and settled on one combo that you think you like that place style before you actually start playing the game alternatively, here and hears a thing you don’t have to have multiple weapons. You can start out with one weapon as a main Game and then decide what you’re missing and there’s a reason that tutorials starts out with the great sword and the long it’s not it’s not one of the best combos but it’s a good combo for new players got single targeted and AOE damage on demand you got heels on demand, not heels, massive man, and and and health region on demand You’ve got crowd control and I believe it a good combo but my point is some things aren’t certain weapons because they entirely use different stats so you really need to know that but you also need to play with each weapon combo for a while figuring out how it works before you decide to start pumping resources into it I mean the end of the world if you get 20 or 30 levels decide to change by then you’ll have so many weapon upgrade available. You’ll be able to upgrade weapon level six right off possibly even a 11 into a blue and if you happen to get one weapon or feed it a second one in and it’s now sitting in my bank, waiting for in case I ever want to use itresources are not make mistake. Why spend time before?

Great video as a wow player im used to just choosing my class, copy all talents and learn my rotating. I like the idea of choosing yourself and that alot of combos seem viable. deciding between wand/ss and dagger/xbow.

Really do what you’re saying because each weapon has a different focus like if you’re using a great sword you definitely want to pile a lot of points in the strength. If you’re using the you want them piled into every weapon has certain needs. I am not an expert, but I’m pretty sure grades sword you need strength and wisdom because you need the man region in the cool downs to keep using your abilities with that great sword, but with a weapon like that, if you plan to do damage with them, you need decks now if you’re only using deep Buffy shed from one web or another that doesn’t matter my point is certain and tear together really well because they utilize the same stats so you can do whatever you wantbut if you wanna have a good viable build, then you have to kinda know what weapons pair together well and I don’t think anybody really has that entirely figured out in the western world yet

Great video! Also, how do you think Greatsword/Wand would do for smaller scale PVP skirmishes? I know it wouldn't be optimal for PVE but that's what the game is calling a "Paladin" and I kind of like the idea of being a self-sufficient melee bruiser that can throw off heals when needed, similar to Retribution paladins in WoW.

Yeah, biggest problem is the classes. I want to play more than just 1 build but that can't happen in this game unless I want to handicap myself against other players. This is why I liked lost ark, you could play any class and lvl alts to fill roles. What I didn't like about lost ark, which is starting to happen in TL is gatekeeping. People already asking for 2k combat power for dungeons requiring 1600. This game has too many limitations and picking only 1 class to be competitive is a big one. Not to mention the scarcity of healers, it's already happening 😂

Yes and no. You can use every armour, even those tankier for healer. But you don't necessarily benefit from the stats. Sometimes a item set gives a specific bonus for a spell which you might not have at all with your weapon combo

Is it possible to level up more than two weapons without losing progress on your original weapons? So I'm SnS Wand. But I have dropped a lot of Greatswordss and armour. So I was thinking of spending books to level Greatsword and then just switching weapons and armour when I want. But I've not tried as I'm worried if I lose any of my SnS Wand progress? Any help would be appreciated please. Thank you.

Then that we actually do have classes right you choose your weapons and it has a name open. The upper left corner tells much classes with those two weapons in your hand. There’s no it’s like this or it’s like that 100% is this or that the only way it will not have anything up there if you only have one weapon, choose only one weapon then you won’t have an actual class for instance and daggers is a spelled Wade that’s the class spelled all one word

1:43 I have a feeling you haven't given GW2 a shot, based on this statement :) If you're interested in combat that allows you to blend different roles as you mentioned here, I suggest giving that game a shot. Or perhaps just look through some videos that gives you an overview of the classes and their different specs. It's a game that allows for a wide amount of variety in terms of playstyles depending on your class, the specializations (traitlines) you choose, as well as the weapon combinations you equip. Anyway, this video was enjoyable though! I'm looking into giving this game a shot since it's free, and combat is such an important aspect for me. So thanks for nice breakdown!

@@SMDacademy Old in terms of graphics? Because that would be the only thing that game has fallen behind in. And even so, they've made improvements that rivals even newer titles. In terms of combat? It still has one of the best combat out there, as it's actually fluid and very action-oriented. WoW and FF14 lags further behind in combat. So I am curious as to what makes it too old to play in your eyes.

'Cause I honestly remember thinking the same thing back then when I switched to playing BDO. I thought the combat was "too dated". But later I realized that the difference was between an Asian MMO and a western one lol 'Cause if I compared GW2's combat to something like New World, there isn't much of a difference outside of their mechanics. The only thing GW2 was missing was an action cam, which they've added a few years ago and it works similarly to how T and L has it. But again, this focuses on combat only, so I'm wondering what aspects you feel makes it too old.
