Claudio (Primal TCG creator) here, thank you for making this video for your feedback. Loved your ideas on demo packaging, tournament scene, and on concerns as an LGS. Going from KS to now has definitely been a challenge that has led us to make some hard decisions. Mainly in game design and finally having some staff. We are calling all LGS that have applied for the demo kits to offer them an introductory package at an ever lower rate to give those juicy margins that incentivize you for taking a risk on us. The KS cards are actually different from the 1st Ed cards due to changing the game design. We offered free booster boxes and starter decks to any Kickstarter backer to match their purchases if they pre-ordered at least 1 booster box of 1st Ed to help offset the cost of the print run. We saw the market of 2023 highly competitive and decided to hold off releasing sets and have a stronger 1st Ed set with a more talented game designer. This decision was to make a sustainable game to not have to start banning cards within the early release of the set. All in all we want the shops to make good money selling Primal and hosting tournaments. Our plan is to get distribution partners after our 1st Ed fulfillment and a better established LGS network. Once again thank you for your thoughts and for making this video 😊

Hi Claudio. Thank you a ton for your comment and adding some context. I would pin this comment so that everyone can see the added context, but KZbin recently took away my ability to pin comments, so I cannot until I am a good boy for 2 months. Really glad to hear that the Kickstarter and 1st Ed product are different. I would recommend letting people know that on the website, using the same set name and and booster box image gives quite the different impression. I also had no idea that you had an introductory package! That's good news. Even though I got a demo kit, I don't think I was ever contacted about that offer or have seen anything about it? Would love to hear more. If you're ever needing help with your game, feel free to email me at rvassay@speedrobogames.com (publishing@speedrobogames.com). I'd love to chat and see what we can do. When it comes to the card game industry, my company and I have literally done it all at least once. I wish you and your game the best.

Thanks for the comment back. I'm really glad you're taking the critique well. I actually struggled with myself for a while on if I should release this video or not, because I really didn't want to piss in your cheerios. You've all been super nice to me, personally. Primal really was just the perfect subject for this kind of video. It was a brain worm that I just couldn't get out of my head. If y'all are ever wanting some help on anything related to your game or company, please email me (rvassay@speedrobogames.com | publishing@speedrobogames.com). I'd be happy to chat and see what we can get done. Oh yeah, and about the audio thing. This is actually the second version of the video. I had some last minute edits that I wanted to make before release and I forgot to boost the audio at the end like I normally do. Oops! We all make mistakes and I too, am filled with them. Big love for you and the Primal team. I really hope you guys go straight to the moon.

So you're saying the YuGiOh creator was right to not make tournament prizes cash.
@speedrobo9910 ай бұрын
Yeah, honestly. If there's one thing that I say here in this video that I really REALLY need people to just TRUST me on, it's the cash prize tournament thing. If you're wanting to make a game that has a fun and exciting play atmosphere, NEVER do cash. If you want to foster a community that is distrustful of each other, totally stressed out all the time, and angry. Give 'em cash.
