I know its a fice minute short rest, and they get it back after like a week of downtime, but does it give them spell slots back? Im just wondering how screwed they are in terms of magic, cause I dont think Rowan or Xan have had a proper long rest in like 5 sessions because of the curse. Thanks!

It was in the previous episode the found out about them looking at blueprints at the stonemasons guild

A few episodes back, they were told about the catacombs under the cathedral. With that knowledge and their suspicion that the sun sword was working with the lamp lighters they went to the Masons Guild and and got plans for the cathedral and it’s catacombs which they found out was close to the old sewer system. It was actually pretty impressive detective work on their part to find that.

There was as much of a chance that they would stop that dome, as there was that Valla wouldn't follow them and open the door for her father. Mark can say there were all kinds of things that could have happened and I'm sure that's right. Stopping that guild though, WAS NEVER one of the things.

Passive Perception is a thing in the rules my guy. If Gruff had been at the front, he would have seen it. :) OR if the PC's had said they were moving carefully and keeping an eye out for traps/hidden dangers, I would have had them make active Perception checks. But, they didn't. It's okay for the PCs to make choices that result in bad things happening to them sometimes, or to not have complete control of everything that happens to them. I'm sorry if other DMs have actively tried to get one over on you, or been assholes, but that doesn't mean that everytime the PCs get hurt or suffer a consequence it's malicious on the DMs part.

Im on Mark's side here, its one trap and the perceptive character was in the back. It's a shit happens thing. Characters could have also jumped the other way.

Also he gave them all reaction times better than other dm's do. Rowan walked through the wire but had the chance to completely MISS being hit if he'd only moved a different way, same with Ophelia, Daisy lucked out by jumping BACK. Only when he got all their reactions did he say where the trap went off. That was more luck based than targeted and actually sounded like such a fun way to lay a trap.

the party as a whole took a total of 12 damage, and it hit less than half of the party. if he wanted to TPK hes doing a very poor job
