If Salah stays for four more seasons, he could end up with the most goals and third-most assists in Premier League history. He's not just a goalscorer, but also an incredible playmaker-literally a GOAT contender. He could surpass Henry, let alone Gerrard. It’s unlucky that Liverpool missed out on three more titles, losing to City by just a point. Now, Haaland is getting in the way of his Golden Boot record too. But if Salah can beat Alan Shearer's goal record as a winger and win a couple more major trophies, he could still be the GOAT. A 3+1 contract to keep him until he’s 36 would keep him hungry for trophies and the ultimate record.

He himself should know Liverpool cant up his salary any further. Perhaps, he wont mind staying with this salary but he would want the club to give him a 3 year contract. Our opinion is it would still be feasible to offer this extention to him. Salah is unlike any other player where after being offered a new contract, his form dips. A 33-year-old Milner was on £140k p/w and (then) the 4th highest-paid player. Salah is incrementally the highest-paid player in the history of LFC for the last 6 years. So, it is an unusual territory to negotiate in. I'd like him for 2 years, but Edwards uses data. Salah could still deliver like a Lewandowski or a Modric. But this is inside the Premier League. The most recent examples of £350k salaries for 33 year olds: Aubameyang, Cristiano Ronaldo, De Gea and Ozil. Too many examples of it going wrong there.

Think he mis-spoke, he meant salah is £72k over 3 years (£72m, hes removing 3 zeros to simplify, his math is salah on a £460k/week contract over 3 years/157 weeks) and the new player is £80k (£80m, not £800k/800m which he was mistaken) but his point still stands, delaying buying a winger for 2/3 years for the price of a new transfer is a great deal, because even while we dont "gain" an asset (an extra player which we can sell later/improve), firstly Salah will then not be available on a free anymore and could be sold for £50m to saudi in 2027 with a year left on his contract, but on top of that, if we were to sign a new player and let salah leave on a free, we would still be having to pay an £80m player, £200k+ a week and hes not bringing in the shirt sales/clout to the club that Mo Salah does. I don't know the intricacies of FFP on how much player wages in a club can total, but theres no way its close to Man uniteds when casemiro is on £350k a week and theyre seemingly okay. tl;dr, let salah leave, we lose a £50-100m player only to save about £40m over three years minus whatever the new transfer fee is, keep salah on and buy later, were breaking even over 2 years and then being able to sign the next best player, effectively giving us the best winger in world football for 2 more years for free. Obviously this is a very basic opinion/take on the situation and I have little knowledge on the intricacies of player contracts and ffp so if you read this, take it with a pinch of salt.

The Liverpool powers that be... Need to pull their fingers out and give Mo the wages he's worth... If he leaves at the end of the season when he's out of contract at Anfield... Liverpool will be shooting themselves in the foot... Obviously none of us are aware of his current contract... Or indeed his terms for his new contract... But lets suppose that Mo is currently getting £300,000 per week... And lets say he's asking for £400,000 per week... I know that those figures to us mere mortals are incredibly high and hard to comprehend... But there are some very rich clubs out there... That would offer Mo £500,000 per week in a heartbeat... But what you have to remember here is... If he isn't offered a new contract... Liverpool can't sell him to another club... As he'll be a free agent... So he could've brought Liverpool £50 Million for his transfer fee to another club which they'll lose... Plus any future sales of official Mo Salah Liverpool merchandise would be lost too... Then there's the extra revenue generated for the club the further on in the Champions League you finish... As well as the extra revenue Liverpool will receive... The higher they can finish in the Premier League. Sponsorship deal clauses might also include... An additional bonus payment for becoming Champions of either of the two major trophies available to them... As this would obviously become a branding boost to the teams major sponsors... As they would increase their worldwide revenue stream on the back of Liverpool's success... But without that success that Mo could bring to Liverpool... Then i'm afraid that Mo might have no other option... But to walk away... If Liverpool allow his current contract to expire without securing any kind of a contract deal... Which would be the worse case scenario for all involved... For the Club... The fans... And for Mo himself... As i truly believe that he want's to stay with Liverpool... But for him to remain here... He needs paying his true worth!... An extra £100,000 per week... Compared to what you could lose out on... It's a very small price to pay... Liverpool... Please don't cut your nose off to spite your face... Come to terms with Mo Salah... And have him sign up to a new three year contract.... And put this new contract extension debate to bed once and for all... The fans deserve to have this problem resolved as soon as possible. 👍

There is No cause for alarm… winning lot of trophies back to back is not for every team… There are big clubs who have been rebuilding for over 10 years just to win a premier league trophy 🏆, they have changed coaches, laid off players, bring in new players for several seasons and still can’t win the league trophy… so City fans we should understand is not easy winning the premier league every season. At this moment our players look fatigue, depleted, no motivation, lacking confidence and mental toughness… plus the injury issues. Is normal for us to struggle these season. All winning clubs at certain stage goes through these crises and they fix it and bounce back. Trust In Pep, he has the track records… let’s just try to finish the season in good position even we don’t win any medals. There will be massive rebuilding next season in all departments. Most of the current players will have to move on elsewhere… sometimes playing for same club after won everything the motivation to win again with the same football club is not there… is normal in team sports. We win we lose we draw we are still CITIZENS. We shall bounce back stronger. Don’t doubt SIR PEP, he will turn things around. Is okay let the rival fans laugh at us, they have every right to laugh at us because for the past seasons we have been beating them back to back, we took away their happiness, they have been patiently waiting to see City go through crises, and now this is the time, now is time for them to also laugh at us. It would be the most egregious betrayals of pursuit of titles if the club approach Mo Salah and his contract renewal from a business point of view and not a football one. Even if he declines in the very next season and becomes a squad player, Mo Salah coming on with twenty or thirty minutes left in the match would still be the last thing a tired fullback would want to see. If you shave 25% of his goal contributions, attributed to the possible decline, those are still crazy numbers. There is such a thing as aging gracefully in football, it just requires proper management and Slot has shown he is very capable at game management. He would still find a use for him. With the way Mo has been looking after himself, I'm inclined to believe he may have at least two full seasons at his peak before any possible decline occurs. Whichever way it goes, it's a win win for Liverpool. Regarding replacements, there is no substitute for Mo Salah. Whoever comes will have to make a stamp in their own right... but Mo will remain untouchable. It's an insult to football as a profession that he hasn't been showered with more individual awards up until this point. His consistency alone is worthy of recognition. The fans need to make their stance on Salah clear. Just like we protested the Super League, protest the club's hesitation to re up him.

I'm a life long Liverpool fan. Liverpool and Jurgen klopp have made Salah one of the greatest players of all time. No one wanted him. He owes the club and the fans all he can give them. He doesn't want to leave Liverpool because he knows he can never achieve the adoration and success again anywhere else. Yes, it would be good to have him for another year or two but the clubs philosophy, and what their current success is built on, is to constantly refresh the squad with young talent and develop them into a team. We don't follow the UTDs or PSGs of this world and try to buy in super stars and hope they can win us something. If Salah isn't on the pitch next season then there will be a place for someone else or someone will step up or the system will be tweaked to better suit a different winger/striker's attributes. He has earned more money from LFC than he could spend in 10 lifetimes and his public comments about his contract are vulgar and disrespectful. I have no idea what the club would pay him for a 1 or 2 year contract but it will be an enormous sum of money, yet he (or his advisors) want more. He's already been paid for what he's done and it seems to me he's asking to be paid again for his past performances. When Mane and Firmino went it was going to be a 'disaster'. Maybe Salah's time is up because he wants more money, fair enough, but he should go with some dignity.

I do get your reasoning, but what club lets go their star forward, just when he's at his peak? He's modified his game under Jurgen and now Arne to be the payer in that position they want. He shows no sign of slowing down or losing any skill set. Compare him with CR7 or Messi. Look at Lewondowski. They look after themselves so well nd are not just players on the pitch, but an example to young players coming through. Listen to Curtis Jones and Harvey Elliott in interviews. They worship the ground the guy walks on. To allow him to leave, whether on a free, or for a fee, would be madness. It could take three or four years to bring someone else in cold. In a couple or three seasons we will need a wholesale refreshing of the squad then, top four will be our only target. Use that time to change him instead.

Its not disrespectful to Arsenal, we have just seen them lose the league from leading it never mind playing catch up....
@TheAngrySportsfan01Ай бұрын
The amount of disrespect for Salah from Liverpool fans is shocking. Take away Salah from the Liverpool team and we'll probably be 4/5/6 in the league.

He wants the whole club to only have halal meat and no pork on the menu. To be fair id agree to those conditions

My fear is he does go and signs for say, PSG and next season scores the goals that knock us out of Europe! How does THAT look on the balance sheet! A stupid way of deciding a players contract.

I think after Salah goes to Saudi-Arabia, Liverpool is back to the drawing board. Where does Liverpool management board find a replacement for Salah? Salah is not replaceable. This is indeed sport business so money talks, end of story. I wonder what Salah is going to accomplish in Saudi league in career wise or is this his retirement plan? Maybe
@marufrahman3209Ай бұрын
tell me what his direct replacement will be who not only scores and also assists
@devannaicker9537Ай бұрын
Pure speculation, nobody knows what's the situation with the contracts. Suggest you get back to basics, stick to report the factual news only.
@mohammedomar4652Ай бұрын
Mo Salah ... goals and assists aside.....he is the established heart of Liverpool ...... he lifts the team and he can change games in seconds ...
@conorhannigan555Ай бұрын
You didn't add what you get for Salah. 80m new player 80m for Salah. So only wages to pay. But still we should keep Salah he is a legend and different to other 30+ players.
@Dunk1970Ай бұрын
Liverpool get nothing for any of these players unless they sign new contracts, as they are all out of contract at the end of the season. We cannot get £80M for Salah now, but could have got more than that last year. So yes, FSG should be factoring in the additional cost of a replacement for 3 years.
@lisandroflores95Ай бұрын
Dear FSG, where do you get off?
@jiminycrintАй бұрын
Did that guy just say they’d get a large sum of money from the Saudi pro league? They only get money if they sell him January. At the end of this season Salah leaves on a free. And what’s this guy saying £500 pw? Can these football ‘experts’ stop talking nonsense

I get a feeling that Man City are losing the cup this season - and, probably the next - deliberately...to gain from the 115 charges that would be waived off anyways!!!! The club has probably been told to lose!!!!

Give Salah 3 yrs on 500k per week, get 1 good year from him, and then start listening to Saudi for a return of at least 100 mill. What's so difficult 😂

Salah is not the long term future.Offer him 2 years on same contract.If he goes ,so be it.Its liverpool fc.players come and go.
@sherifnabil50Ай бұрын
Salah makes more money for the club than he's paid. I don't think the club is worried about money. I think its about his principles. Refusing to wear rainbow armbands. Supporting Palestine etc. Nobody will bring up these controversial topics in the media.

Commentator is uninformed. Salah grimaced at the idea of the Saudi league. Let's not disrespect Salah by even considering that would be his only other option. Why would he exile himself like that. Top European teams would rush at the opportunity to pick him up. PL needs to keep him - hence Liverpool needs to their job. He's a legend, generational talent and simply gives reinvestment to club merely by his name...
