Also Axiom let’s gooo! Axiom is currently my main deck and focus. But I’ve built Lyra and Ordis decks as well! None of them are winning much, but I’m still having a blast and I’ll keep refining them as I play more :D Our local shop has about 10 people who play every Tuesday which nice. Altered is also the game that my partner and I play together! It’s honestly just a really fun and accessible game and I’m super hype for the new set next year!

Idk what I feel about breach. It feels like a mechanic that just puts you on a timer. Because it accomplishes board whipping while doing life damage. I know magic has this and other bandai games but it being slapped on multiple cards is crazy.

Since you’re an experienced veteran of TCGs, do you ever get a burning urge to create your own?! Since I love TCGs so much, I can’t stand not trying to perfect and transcend it! Consider making a few videos exploring the philosophy and technical design of TCGs. I would love to see your wishes for an ideal game after collecting so much experience of what’s great or uncomfortable about them. Every little moment adds up. I myself have been dreaming of a card game for years I call “Prophecy”, and worked on it mostly brainstorming rules within my real-life constraints. The premise is that the essence of strategy is predicting the future, so I want to create a game that’s very oriented around time like a song. I want it to flow steadily but the players’s eyes to be locked on the future, the vast mysterious unknown future where anything can happen. It’s the most exhilarating. Yes, I play Izzet.

Super basic question, but what over-sleeves do you use? I’ve got some art sleeves for my One Piece deck but they’re so fragile and a nightmare to shuffle. Never bought any over-sleeves though so was curious which ones you liked!

I've used the Dragon Shield oversleeves in both standard and Japanese size and they have been good so far for me. They held up just as long as normal dragon shield sleeves and feel just as solid. I also personally like them because they still have that texture on the back and aren't gloss so the shuffle feel is the same as with normal dragon shields.

As someone who also feels like a big variety card gamer/card board addict I really appreciate all the variety content on your channel! It’s really cool to know there is other people like me out there! My main games rn are Pokemon, SWU, Wiess Schwartz and Altered as well! Though, none of my altered decks are that crazy. I mostly built them out of a single booster box I got on Black Friday. But I was able to put together a cool Treyst and Rossum reserve shenanigans deck (Go Axiom! Haha) and the Muna, ramp hydracaena deck! Weiss I’m just playing all the chainsaw man decks. From Makima back row sniper, to a Katana Man deck that just mills 16 cards in your deck. To another Denji/Aki deck that literally designs the feeling of getting kicked in the nuts into a card game mechanic….If that’s not peak card design idk what is! And I’ve been obsessed with the exploit mechanic in SWU’s new set so I’ve been building and playing Count Dooku and Nute Gundam decks centered around that. Been a lotta fun!

@@RedZoneRogue I mean honestly, they all have good mechanics in Weiss but most of the time I feel like it just comes down to whats your fave most recent IP they put out haha. I saw a Frieren box at one of my stores. I still haven't watched the anime all the way through. I was debating getting into their Oshi No Ko box tho! I loved that show. Looking forward to your SWU video! Would love to hear the thoughts in depth!
