First things I look at when looking at a pre-owned coach.....engine bay....utility bay, battery bay and the roof. Those 4 things will tell you almost all you need to know at a glance how it was cared for. Great videos 👍

That was a cool coach, had some great features and a useful layout,especially the Murphy bed. You're so right about being able to find info online about these things. I found the last owners purchase and this eventual sale, all detailed on a forum. All within a few seconds of watching this vid. Fascinating stuff! 👍

Something that l found out the last time a bought tires for my semi is if the date on those tires are 4 years or older they dont give you a tire casing credit . They use to give any where between $40 to $60 depending on the condition , they would use the old tires for recaps . Most tire shops would use michelins for recaps . Now if your tires are 4 years or older you have to pay for a disposal fee of $15 each . Tires are a big investment so take care of them , make sure you dont drive them when there soft so check your tire pressure often . The valve cores on them sometimes leak , tire gets soft and the side walls get weathered and crack .

Great Video of this Newell, no Hetitage wood club but its still nice. In 2005 I think they only made 4, 2 slide coaches (731, 734, 742 and 747) well made coaches for sure. I know you love yours with all the history around it also. Look forward to seeing the other videos of the newells at MotorHomes of Texas. Let get them out, LOL

Cool review Kyle. It nice to see this 05 Newell. Always was a fan of the mid door models. Comparing it to my 450 Lxi Wanderlodge...Newell more custom, more headroom, unique, each one custom built, build quality a wash. Controls and components are similar and fit the time frame. There were 58 450 Lxi's Wanderlodges built from 04-06. I wonder how many Newells were built in that time frame? Prevost, Newell, Wanderlodge, Country Coach, etc...are all quality units. I consider my Wanderlodge a bus like Prevost and Newell. It's the construction that sets them apart from the other units. Not dissing other units. My Pop drove 2 American Eagles and they were nice too. Thanks again for your review. I appreciate them.
@Stapleton424 жыл бұрын
Thanks dude. My name is Mitchell not Kyle though 😂 I didn’t know wanderlodges were that low in production numbers. There’s about 30 Newell’s produced per year.

In one of your earlier Newell factory tours there was an improvement step up year and I can’t remember if it was 04 or 05. Was it the steering tag, or was it Newell’s version of comfort drive?

@@Stapleton42 It was a joke, Mitchell! I should be so lucky! I would love to own one of these coaches, but maybe a stealth van is in my future, so that I can park it in my driveway. Because RV's and boats cannot be parked in our driveway because of the CC&R's. I do love living where there are rules, because you'll get the person who owns ten cars that don't work and you can never park anywhere near your own house. I would be able to get away with a work van. I don't want to pay for storage, because when it becomes a hassle to use your vehicle, you end up not using it like you should and I have no plans for full-time living, because I enjoy the climate too much where I live. It stays cool most of the year, except for the occasional spring or fall offshore winds and their accompanying heat waves.

American RM manufacturers need to get thier head out of thier ass with those garbage roof mounted AC units that sound like a 300hp Joy Fan or a jet engine. You can't even hear ductless split systems or a properly designed ducted unit. Those things are junk.
