1:10 Don't forget a hawk for the screech itself Fun Fact: While the frill was added for aesthetics(Because it was cool and to drive home the idea that dinosaurs had traits we could never know from the fossils alone), the venom was added as a legitimate form of speculation. Back when the first novel was made, Dilophosaurus was thought to have had weak jaws, so Crichton speculated that Dilophosaurus used venom to bring down prey.

Fun fact, in the Michael Crichton novel that the movie is based on the Dilophosaurus lacks a neck frill and is by no means a small animal as portrayed in the film, growing to be as tall as ten feet and six meters in length.

I do want to add that, while there is no evidence that Dilophosaurus had a frill of skin, it very well could have had a thin coat of proto-feathers that would 'ruffle' when stressed, like the collar of a chicken. When chickens are threatened, the feathers behind their head stand on end, making a sort of frill or crown that makes them seem larger than they really are. Other birds do this as well. It's possible that Dilophosaurus, a hollow-boned coelosur like Velociraptor and modern birds, had feather-like structures that would stand on end when threatened.

One of the most underrated dinosaurs in the Jurassic Park franchise I really hope we can get to see it in Jurassic world rebirth next year more than likely it's going to be in chaos theory thanks to a couple of figures it has for the show but dilophosaurus definitely would have not sounded like the ones in the film I suggest they probably would have made vocalizations and high pitch noises
