my take on the poem was that she meant she needed to zoom out on the situation and reset, not get dragged in to pointless beefs. but I think it would have been much clearer to say 'I made a mistake, sorry', or at least 'I don't want to talk about it any more'. it came across as a bit pretentious for the context., although it's cool that some football managers like poetry, and it gives an insight into the Hayes psychology

I get the feeling that Emma hayes knows shes done wrong but is in that embarrassed phase of refusing to apologise. Hoping that by talking nonsense that becomes the new focus.

Emma Hayes has totally “lost the plot.” She knows she has done wrong but doesn’t have the decency to admit it. Glad she is going!!!!!

lol it reminded me of the comedy football film Mike basset England manager when he recited a poem.

Hello Shebahn. I watched her press conference. I wondered if playing Manchester United had made her follow the star that the trawler is navigating by? She will have fifty stars on the new flag, but better watch out for stripes from the seagulls.

Emma meant that she decided to focus on something steadfast and unchanging, like the star in the poem, instead of reading/listening to the fuss made around her behaviour. It was the way she found to keep her thoughts and actions balanced and steady. I think she could have said it in a different way, but it's up to her. The story she told her son is a way of "regretting" what she had done, but it means she still thinks Eidevall was aggressive.

she's just being unaccountable for her actions. and worse still, he is still gaslighting the man and the fans

Might be good timing for Chelsea with Emma leaving now, she seems to be losing the plot a bit lately.

Should Eidevall be given another chance next season

Emma doubled down on the male aggression with saying she shouldn't have met Eidevall aggression with aggression. (I shouldn't have pushed him because now I'm as bad as him.) I wish emma hadn't painted Eidevall with the male aggression, because it wasn't the real issue she had with him. He's overly emotional on the touchline, and it rubs emma and others the wrong way. She should have just said that because that's the real issue here.
@Jambobist5 ай бұрын
If she'd said that she didn't want to see the same kind of aggression that we see in the men's game coming into the women's game I think people would have been ok with that. Her mistake was to make it a gendered thing by talking about 'male aggression'. It's not good for the women's game to make it about men vs women, there's enough of that already from angry misogynists online, don't need to throw any fuel on that fire. The women's game needs men to thrive, from supporters to coaches to investors, men are important to the development of the game. Being adversarial about it doesn't help anyone.

My idea is that Emma Hayes wants to show her son's story that he is smarter than the journalists . A long nose at the journalists Let's be honest the whole story Emma vs Jonas has taken on a life of its own thanks to the media A beautiful holiday Shebahn with your family 🫶

The most blindly 'patriotic' people tend to be the most ignorant of history and the wider world. Ask them about the 1916 Easter Rising or the Glencoe massacre and they won't have a clue. I can see how frustrating that would be. Hayes knows her performance at the Conti Cup final was like Roxanne Pallett on Celebrity Big Brother. Accusing a man of something that doesn't stand up to scrutiny when you watch the incident back

I’m planning to have Faithless’ Insomnia at my funeral…seeing as how i’ll finally be sleeping! But also…whatever happened in Ireland is Jack sh*t to do with me so why do you think I should be abused?? That’s what we don’t understand? The anger hurts the angry person if the recipient is not guilty of whatever previous generations did?? 🤷♀️ Therefore you’re hating on me because i’m English, that’s all, which is sad as most English people of my generation hold no hatred towards the Irish. Emma Hayes is proving to be a bit of a tit. She was wrong and should just admit it.
