whilst Kaiser Wilhelm and Hitler are massively different people it is interesting their similar mixed relationship with the Arabs and Islam
@rapecel2 жыл бұрын
Germanic traditionalisms such as historical militarism, paternalism, and the culturally held heroic cults of strength have immense overlap with traditions and stories in Arabic societies. It is an eminent relationship with Faustianism, and most likely a telltale sign of the discomfort of the Germanic diasporas within Western Civilization. Hitler's infatuation with Islamic society is an inevitability, and a logical endpoint for contrasting and controlling the differentiations between Abrahamic religions. Hitler differs from Wilhelm in that his interest in Arabic society is purely secular and methodical, and only extends to bring about a greater German state rather then a simple foreign admiration from afar.

11:02 Iran has been called Iran by the locals for millennia, literally means land of Aryans and the indo-Iranians have referred to themselves as Aryans for just as long. It is true that Reza Shah had close ties with Germany but the Shah had been going about reforming the nation beforehand. I would hardly call the Islamic teachings of Mohammed an "Eastern philosophy" when it originated around roughly the same geographic areas that Judiasm and Christianity came from and is heavily based on Judeo-Christianity.
@hussitewagoner68382 жыл бұрын
Influenced or mimicked maybe, to be “based on”, it would have to have the same foundational scriptural narrative . The quran contradicts the Torah too much to be considered “based on” it, very little similarities(other than names) and the narrative is completely changed. And the pagans want their credit for the circumventing the kaaba, kissing black stones, 3 goddess daughters and Mecca being holiest instead of Jerusalem.
@Intranetusa2 жыл бұрын
@@hussitewagoner6838 Well, the Christian New Testament claiming Jesus is the messiah and how people can now ignore a lot of the stuff in the Old Testament contradicts the the Old Testament too. So if having no contradictions is the standard for "based on" then both Islam and Christianity are only influenced by Judiasm rather than based on Judiasm. As for Paganism, ironically, a lot of Jewish and Christian elements (Great Flood mythos, Yaweh, holidays, etc) are also based on Pagan religions. So it has gone full circle with Pagan Polytheistic beliefs that helped influence some of Islam copying from Judeo-Christian Monotheists who copied from earlier Polytheists.
@Rationalific2 жыл бұрын
Good point, although at the time, it was often thought of as "Eastern" in some sense. But yes, like Judaism and Christianity, Islam is a Middle Eastern-derived religion, unlike the Indian-derived religions of Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism.
@hussitewagoner68382 жыл бұрын
@@Intranetusa I know of no Christian that ignores the Tanakh. The authenticating foundational Torah lends authority to the Prophets and Writings, the Gospels are the witnessed fulfillment of the purpose, promise and prophesies of the redeeming Messiah. The Jewish scriptures are the root and Christianity is a branch . The Torah is the God given/dictated Word of truth . Christianity is quintessentially “based” upon the foundation of Judaisms scripture and customs, if not a modern spiritual continuation of first century Judaism . As the flood goes , a event can be witnessed and the story retold through differing paths . A strong claim that Torah based Judaism is derived from paganism. Cultural influences , yes, and it was recorded in scripture, and they were deemed disobeying the Torah in that same scripture. God Bless
@Intranetusa2 жыл бұрын
@@hussitewagoner6838 There are plenty of contradictions and/or parts that are ignored. Take dietary laws for example - New Testament is interpreted as overturning Old Testament dietary laws: Land animals must have cloven (split) hooves and must chew the cud, meaning that they must eat grass. Meat and dairy cannot be eaten together. Seafood must have fins and scales. Eating shellfish is not allowed. Birds of prey are forbidden. How many Christians follow those dietary laws anymore? Islam and Christianity are both offshoots of Judaism that takes a lot of Jewish elements but then ignores/contradicts others. And you have certain sects of Christianity like Mormonism that completely flips Judiasm on its head in an unrecognizeable way. Not just cultural influences....historical events, gods, etc were taken from Paganism. Yaweh was originally one single Pagan god of storms in a Pagan Pantheon that had multiple gods. He was turned into the only god during the development of Judiasm. The Biblical Flood was a story taken from the older myth of the Flood of Gilgamesh from Mesopotamian religions. It was not the same event because the Flood of Gilgamesh and the Atra-Hasis has different events, different heroes, and different themes. The older flood stories are about a demigod who goes on a heroic journey and has to confront multiple different gods. He builds a boat made of reeds, loads up a lot of animals into it, and then has to survive the wrath of the storm gods who unleashed a flood on the land. The heroes of the flood are granted immortality after they survive. Jews basically took that older story and changed it into a different story with different themes to fit their own religion and their own narrative.

I'm speculating based on what was said that the original Nazi idea was to keep Slavs from having children to depopulate the areas to make way for Germans to become the majority in their lands. However, Erhard Wetzel did not think this was a good idea, as it would cause a vacuum (due to a German population that could not settle all of the areas) and Asians would fill the void, and he didn't want that and thought that Slavs were preferable.

The original plan was to entirely purge the slavic populations of europe over time and replace them with germans. India is a huge country with different races. The Aryans, the Dravidians, the Australoids and others. I don't understand why the West sees India and Latin America as 'Brown' nations when people here have skin tones ranging from the darkest to the fairest. There's no homogenity. I think, the whole idea of classifying races on the basis of skin colour is absurd. It is obv that people from the same race can have different skin tones. Even the Mongoloids living in S.Asia are generally brown while their Chinese counterparts are white. Indo-Aryans of Kashmir and Nepal are fairer than say in general an avg person from Maharashtra or Sri Lanka in the South. I think it's bc of the Latitudinal range the region falls in. Compare the latitude of India to other IE nations, for eg; Iran or the Europe, which is located in a higher latitudinal range. Every IE nation has mixed up for sure, not only India. The blonde gene was more frequent in the native Finno-Ugrics from where that's possibly derived. It is so very Un-Aryan lol (or maybe mutation occured, who knows?). The concept of an average Indian is offending 'cause India is a diverse country divided by every known factor except a common civilisation. It's like a European Union. I'm not from India anyways.

The section about Australia completely ignored the United States. Even if Britain had fallen, a parallel British Empire based in Ottawa would have continued to exist, closely allied to the US. Australia would've, as in our timeline, been armed to the teeth with US soldiers. The Japanese never had any hope of occupying Australia with US military support.

Realistically if Axis won. Save China, most of Asia would be independent and part of some sort of Japanese Bretton Woods style economic arrangement. The concept of the East Asia co prosperity sphere is very flexible and it is much more likely that Asian populations would want to be a part of something like this than German annexation. Large population centers like India and SEA would be impossible to be annexed by the Germans when the Japanese option is a lot more appealing. Books like man in the high castle makes it seem like Germany would reign supreme in an axis won post ww2 world. But I think the Reich would have lasted 20-30 years tops before imploding. Nazi policy is just too ludicrous to be real, even in Germany itself. Policy emanates from a Hitler who was clearly unstable and hypocritical. Furthermore, European states and regional nationalism is too strong for there to be a stable regime which could directly rule all over Europe. Japan on the other hand had plans which were much more achievable. A Japanese dominated economic zone in Asia could have raced past the Reich.
@elevatedmeance6807 Жыл бұрын
" it is much more likely that Asian populations would want to be a part of something like this than German annexation" iirc it was like that intailly, the japanesse were seen as liberators from the white man....up untill they started doing the same horseshit that the asian people hated the colonists for. Japans millitary was always running on fumes even at its peak. It need to conquor countries for resource insecurity, as such its sucked its colonies dry. Theres a reason why most countries that were conquerd by japan see them just the same as the european colonists, its becasue they said one thing and then did the complete opposite
@vishwakat8743 Жыл бұрын
@@elevatedmeance6807 Yeah, I also blame that a bit on the stress of the war and the control the military had over Japan. If the war ended, Japan won, and the emperor brokered some return to joint civilian and military rule (which sources suggest he wanted). Japan would look a lot more like the US today, where sure, they extract resources, impose dominance, etc. But it would be behind the scenes an could even resemble some sort of Japanese capitalist / neoliberal world order. But all is speculation here anyways lol.

The. very word ' Aryan ' comes from the Sanskrit word ' Arya' which means ' a gentleman '. India was a scientifically, artistically, culturally and spiritually advanced civilization thousands of years ago when Europe was crawling with humans in furs and hides living as hunter gatherers. Including Hitler's ancestors. The Vedas ,the oldest texts in the world were written down more than 7000 years ago and they were transmitted verbally from generation to generation before that. And do you know the most unique thing about ancient India? Mathematics, science, astronomy, analytical medical science was NOT in conflict with religion, it was part of the Hindu religion. Mathematics is mentioned in the Vedas, ayurveda is a subsidiary Veda ,an 'up Veda ' ( pronounced oop Veda ) . Indian astronomer and mathematician, bhaskaracharya, in the 12 century CE , declared that the earth revolves around the sun ( that was already known in ancient India) but also calculated the exact time it took to complete one revolution. His result differs from the result today ( using computers and other technology) by just 3 minutes.

What if Germany did not betray the Munich Agreement in 1939 and had waited until Stalin attacked some country in Eastern Europe first? Germany probably could have cut military spending enough to avoid economical collapse if they did right after the 1938 Munich Agreement. In that way Germany could have presented itself as defender of Europe against Soviet imperialism. If Germany managed to avoid conflict with Britain and France a victorious war against the Soviets could have been possible.
@mwol54732 жыл бұрын
My Brother, Hitler would've easily destroyed the Soviet Union if he wasn't insane trying to conquer all Europe and North Africa on 3 different fronts
@Rationalific2 жыл бұрын
@aviation cat I think it would have been possible to take out the Soviet Union if, like Hendrik said, Germany had not antagonized the West and waited for Stalin to get greedy (he'd already invaded Finland, for example) and only invaded the USSR and pretended he was doing it for moral reasons (just like Russian propaganda to this day says that they fought the Nazis for moral reasons under Stalin instead of simply destroying an invader after previously teaming up with that same country to invade Poland, etc). No death camps, either, so Germany could pretend to be moral and there'd be few reasons to make war with him. Certainly the massive supplies going to the USSR from the US and Britain helped. For example, the US itself sent 400,000 jeeps & trucks, 14,000 airplanes, and 13,000 tanks to Russia. (Compare that to what is being sent to Ukraine now...although the US doesn't even have that number of airplanes or tanks in its military anymore.) Then, combine that with Japan NOT attacking Southeast Asia (thus not antagonizing the West as much) and ending the war in China and focusing on Russia at the same time, and I'm quite sure that it would have worked out that Germany would have taken over Russia at least to the Urals and probably into Siberia, and Japan would have taken the rest of Siberia. Of course, this is not how these countries thought at all, so it's never something they would have done. Hitler the Japanese leaders were too greedy and of course immoral, and it spelled their downfall. By the way, another way to look at this is that if Germany had remained teamed up with Russia and never invaded Russia, then it may have been able to retain control over Western continental Europe and possibly eventually take Britain as well. So it works that way also.
@Rationalific2 жыл бұрын
@aviation cat True the he doomed himself and just being the person he was, could not do something that would won him the war (which is a good thing!). But actually, Hitler's "marriage of convenience" to Japan reminded me of his Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact with the USSR. It seems that Hitler foresaw a pending war of whites against Asians, but he was able to keep that desire in check enough to do what could get him what he wanted in the shorter term. Before he invaded the USSR, it was a similar situation in that he put off his desire to crush them and focused on winning battles on one front. Opening up two fronts is not a good strategy for any country. Thankfully, the US was up to it (against Japan and Germany), but it was separated by both by an ocean. Germany was abutting the USSR after they divided up Poland, but he was unable to give it another 5 years until he'd gotten firm longer-term control over Europe, and thus he had two fight on two fronts at once and lost.
@UnholyWrath32772 жыл бұрын
@aviation-cat5425 actually a lesser spoken about fact was that had the germans seized or destroyed the caucasian oil fields instead of going after stalingrad then the Soviets almost assuredly lose. Without that specific oil the USSRs famous tank pushes never happen. That 1 small change makes a german victory almost assured it wouldve cut a vast majority of the sovieta ability to keep their industry and war effort going. Basically they wouldve just become a large poland ran out of resources and either retreated deep into siberia or taken unfeasible casualties for little gain
@ReaperCH902 жыл бұрын
Germany would have probably won in that scenario, BUT this wasn't possible from the start under NSDAP rule
