I forget that they don’t, cause my siblings and I lived with two identical old dell laptops years ago that would not stay on unless plugged into the charger. I have actually had a pet penguin! Sort of..he was a wild penguin (specifically a Little Blue Penguin) who my dad found injured on the beach one summer when I was a kid. We weren't able to get him to an animal hospital so my dad (normally a doctor for humans) tried his hand at emergency veterinary surgery and the penguin lived with us for a couple months until he recovered. He was never an actual pet but he lived in an indoor/outdoor aviary and we gave him a paddling pool to keep up with his swimming and my brother and I would go catch sprats off the jetty every day to feed him. He made a full recovery and we released him back at the beach near his colony and the next season we saw him again still alive and seemingly doing well :) He never pooped on any popcorn (or presents) as far as I'm aware, though ;)
