Thanks for explaining how these slide outs work. I really enjoy learning about how things work and are made in the rv world. This looks like one of the best slide out workings and construction to me. Everyone should be building them like this.

that cracking at the roof and endcap reminds me of when a person bonds a fiberglass hood scoop to a steel hood. They seem to always crack due to expansion & contraction of the two materials at different rates.

I think you are correct, these roofs painted black can get very hot in summer.

It's good to know that those vent covers are still okay. I thought $$$ immediately when I saw those cracks.

I'd seal them and wait until the vent motor or interior failed and then replace the whole thing as one.

What can we do as viewers to help you get a camera that you don't have to hold like you do? I think we all are concerned about your safety while climbing. I'm sure out of all your subscribers 10% of them would be willing to give $2 a piece, that would be $3,000 to get you set up with a head camera I would think. Great video as always

I really appreciate that. I have tried different setups, but have found the phone still to be the best for me. I have lost too many videos with other gear because the sound failed, or the camera quit, or never started recording.

Great video apart from all the other "glamor and glitz" conversion videos that are on you tube of these high dollar coaches. Not too many folks that can afford a coach of this caliber are really interested in walking on the roof, but I found it quite informative, especially the caution on the window slide pins!! When my "numbers" come in, I will know what to look for in a Prevost conversion......but then again, I'll just hire you to do the inspection...... Keep up the great videos.

Are there large rods in the body that extend into those cups on the slide outs when the slide outs are in?

yes, lock pins that extend about 2 inches

They do not give the price online but it is sold. Not sure what country you are from but US dollars are always the dollar sign first, chinese often get it backwards and public school I guess did not teach this either in some places.

I didn't see any air conditioners on the roof. Is there another type of cooling system?
@nathandrake73 жыл бұрын
@Don Olien. Yes there is. Most Prevost conversions use Dometic Cruise Airs. They are a split system. Compressors and condensers outside in a bay and or behind the front bumper, indoor coils ducts and fans indoors, just like a house.

OTR or Bus Air Located PS compartment Grated door 3rd one back fro entry door
@AZExpert3 жыл бұрын
This Liberty coach uses CruisAir heat pumps, they are like small split home A/C's so there is no hole in the roof to leak and can be much more quiet inside when running. It also has the Bus/Over the Road engine A/C

I never really thought about how the "other half" live...a whole bus...to themselves!!😲 what is it called? We go camping..but what is it called to go in one of these? I guess they have their own rv parks? I just never thought about it much🤔🇨🇦🙋♀️

@badgerpa93 жыл бұрын
It would be a Liberty Coach engineer in your story, the bus is an empty shell when the conversion companies build them. If you have never seen what the bus comes like to a conversion company watch the Marathon bus videos they show the bus from when it arrives from Canada till it is completed and owner takes the bus.

What type of roof sealant would you recommend patching with on this one? Is more silicone the only option? Seems kind of disappointing that urethane wasn't used for a more permanent seal.
@AZExpert3 жыл бұрын
unfortunately, nothing really sticks to silicone but silicone, so you'd have to wire brush or sand the old sealant off before using new.

Seems like the best way to prolong the life of the paint on those high end rigs would be a ceramic coating once every five years or so. Would that work well?
@jerryvandyke92163 жыл бұрын
Ceramic coating is amazing ,but finding a good applicator is the problem ,check several motor homes that they have done. I had my Prevost done and it looks fantastic 😎🇨🇦
