And I actually love Burrow I hate when people make that switch team argument. Because literally these teams were built around the QB. So switching them wouldn’t work for either. I think Howie will be able to do that. The team is incredibly deep, young, fast and have a quarterback that won't stand for complacency. Plus, his salary cap management has been nothing sort of masterful. Somehow Jalen's cap hit for next season is 8% despite making $42 million. In 2026 the cap hit is barely 10% and the year after that only 13%. What's even more scary is those are the largest cap hits on the entire roster. Nearly every team with a $50 million/year QB has escalating cap hits that forces restructures in subsequent years (normally after Year 3). The main reason is those QBs receive very high signing bonuses. Not the Eagles. They don't have to make a single change to Jalen's contract. Jalen's signing bonus was less than $24 million. He's making his money on the back-end via option bonuses, which are pro-rated to voidable years. By doing this, the Eagles will have money to spend in maintaining the roster or going after players in free agency.

I would not call Hurts top 2. Last year, when things did not go well, he could not lift the team. We simply cannot grade his impact cause he has all the players around him. Like we were not able to grade Purdy until this year. When things went south in SF, Purdy was not able to lift the team. Not saying Hurts is bad, but I could name a lot of QBs who would look better in PHI. Same with Jared Goff. Goff only played well once the O-Line and the skill position players were there. When the team was not good, Goff also did not lift the offense.

Only one other QB played and had a decent season in his 40's and that was Ironman Brett Favre. One year, the next his arm was a noodle. There is a huge chance Mahomes might be washed at 36 or 37 like 99.9% of the qbs are.
