7 police officers were dismissed from the service. Many were offered retirement packages on the proviso that they would not investigate more corruption. No one didn’t go to jail because of the commission but significant structural changes were made.

@@harrybetts9348 we have record drug levels never seen before. which means we have record corruption again .history has taught us that the two go hand in hand .police charges did not go ahead because the commission put the wrong date on paper work and charges were dismissed .the changes were not good enough as we found out when the 2nd highest ranking police officer in the state crime commision was charged with drug importation Time to legalise drugs as the commision recommended and put this to bed once and for all.

1. A Royal Commission by definition is an inquiry into a specific activity. The activity was police corruption, which means they had no power over drug dealers. 2. To assume drug levels and police corruptions are correlated is not backed by any scientific measurement. 3. The NSW State Crime Commission fiasco happened 15 years after the events here, and is a seperate organisation. 4. People were severely punished by the outcomes.

@@harrybetts9348 the police where the drug dealers by definition where involved in the distribution of drugs makes them drug dealers . Crime cannot flourish without corruption especially drugs and especially not without law enforcements help .to say there is not corruption in the NSW police is what was said by everyone before and the result was the opposite as the royal commission said unless drugs are legalised there will be corruption again . That is only one aspect there are many others the nature of the breast hasn't changed just the landscape . They where not severely punished by the outcomes a corrupted police officer is the most disgusting dangerous criminal ever and should have been given a sentence fitting of the crimes they commited and allowed others to commit these criminals and there not police commited murders and killed thousands by there drug dealing a minimum of 20years should be a mandatory sentence for abusing the trust of the public you swear to serve and the real police who serve with honour no level of corruption should ever be tolerated by people employed to serve the public

its not even called kings cross now, just potts point.. only the train station name stays.. every major city has a red light district.. ever since the clubs etc were forced to close due to bullshit rules.. nightlife in sydney is gone.. thank god these dumb rules came after id already left the party scene..
