Late Shri Nedumudi Venu , who was an ardent lover of music expresses well his love and respect towards the great singer and his association with him , as he traverse back to his post college days , as Venu as a mimicry artist got the rare opportunity to perform on the stage on the sidelines of the stage program of Yesudas. It was nice to watch Venu sharing the sweet memories of those thrilling days in the company of Yesudas in full view of audience, as audience joining the fun and frolic emanating out of such kind kind of a situation.

The manner in which Mr. Nedumudi Venu presenting his meeting with veteran music director Deavarajan Master and the conversation they had together, has been superbly presented by Mr Venu in his own inimitable style and also his earlier days with Yesudas and the singer responding to that was indeed like a spectacle, worth to watch. Mr. Nedumudi Venu essaying the anecdotes relating to Dassettan was worth listening. Venu presented it in the " Nedumudi" style, mixing lot humour in it , thereby enthralling the audience and keeping them anxious althrough his speech. It was a befitting tribute to Yesudas for his completion of 50 years of musical journey and the one who had made Malayalees proud, as they always keep this great singer close to their hearts. How beautifully Chithra has presented the all time hit song Areyum.......Wth the passage of time this song has not lost its beauty and when it comes from Chithra herself, the listener spell bounds, it takes him to a dream world of music,that is what has happened at this event. This song has turned out to be the fitting tribute from Chithra to her mentor the great Yesudas on his 50 years of musical journey.

Mr. Venu's experience with Yesudas was altogether of a different kind and his association with him has given Venu a firm footing , that has brought lot of confidence in him and sharing the stage with Yesudas during those unpredictable years has offered Venu with lot avenues, and one amongst them was thatof the field of acting. May be, Venu thought of becoming as an actor because of his association with Yesudas. Probably, it was Yesudas , who turned out to be a lucky mascot for Venu !

Mr. Nedumudi Venu appears to be an ardent disciple of Yesudas as is being reflected while he speaks about Yesudas . Venu gives due respect to Yesudas, the doyen of the musical world , and his words are testimony to the fact about his inherent love towards this great singer. Both Venu and Yesudas are veterans in their respective fields and are highly respected and matured personalities.

It was one of the rare occasion in which such a large number of prominent figures of the Malayalam Film Industry came together on this grant occasion , which is being celebrated to mark the completion of 50 years of Dassettan's Musical life. Befittingly, many prominent music directors from the industry were felicitated for their valuable contributions. The presence of Mr. Nedumudi Venu and Chithra and their performances added more colour to the festivities. The manner in which Asianet had conducted this progarmme was clearly an indication of the fact of its whole hearted acceptance and respect to Yesudas, a wonder of all times. എനിയ്ക്ക് ഒരേയൊരു ആഗ്രഹമേ ഉള്ളൂ, അത് ദാസേട്ടനിൽ നിന്നല്ല, ദാസേട്ടന് അർഹിക്കുന്ന ഒന്ന് കിട്ടേണ്ടതിനേപ്പറ്റിയാണ് ഞാൻ പറയുന്നത്. അത് മറ്റൊന്നുമല്ല Bharat Retna അവാർഡ് തന്നെ. ആ ശുഭ വാർത്ത കേൾക്കാൻ അതിയായ ആഗ്രഹമുണ്ട്, അത് സാക്ഷാൽക്കരിക്കും എന്ന് ദൃഢമായി വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നു.

On the 50 th year of the successful musical journey undertaken by ganagandarvan Yesudas , Asianet makes it a point to felicitate the great singer of this century in the presence of so many luminaries from film and music industry , who were seen showering their love and respect to him , as the event turning out to be spectacular in every respect. It was particularly noticeable when late Nedumudi Venu came to the stage and opened up the memorable days he spent with Yesudas and presented well those ever green days before audience , as they welcomed it with a thumbs up. The event turning out to be a great tribute to the greatest singer of this century .

Ganagandarvan Yesudas who completed 50 years as a front runner in the musical field , is being felicitated here, as as many of the veterans from music and film industry paying their respect and gratitude to the great singer , as they present it in words before audience who have presented to attend the function organized for the purpose of felicitating Yesudas.

When honoring Yesudas, why are everybody ignoring or forgetting music director RAVEENDRAN? Who else have challenged Dasettan's singing skills more than Raveendran? Also M.B. Sreenivasan? Even Dasettan doesn't mention the names of these immortal musicians! We keep these names close to our hearts when we remember you Dasetta! Thanks for your continued presence in our lives!!!

Yesudas had been singing from 1961even before the entry ofRaveendran ..under great music directors like Dakshinoorthy .Devarajan.Rahhavaaster M.k Arjuman and many others.He was the ganagandharvan from about 1965.Raveendranight have composedsome good songsYesudas had occupied his'throne as an invincible singer by that time. without the support of Raveendran Every bodyknows these things.

@@paulosekc6173 ganagandharvan from 1965? I mentioned about “challenging” songs under Raveendran’s composition! Yesudas must’ve sung more songs for Raveendran than the composers you mentioned, I just said he didn’t acknowledge him, that’s it!

There are soo many ppl he needs to mention in that case...ravindra Jain, salilda, Johnson...the list never ends.... And he didn't get enough time on that stage ..I don't think he forget about them

Mr. Venu's amusing anecdotes relating to Yesudas which was followed by Dasettan's comments were worth listening . The super hit song of 80s Thenum Vayambhum as presented by Yesudas accompanying Nedumudi Venu, which was a rare combination, which one would have never watched before. The felicitations accorded to various music directors as a token of their contributions to malayalam music world, that too on this grand occasion added more colour to the festivities relating to Dasettan's 50 years of musical journey.

Raveendran master thanneyanu Gandharva ganangal ennu theerthu parayavunna ganangal (certain songs which none else can ever sing) namukku thannathu... Dasettanoppam ennum Raveendran mashineyum orkkunnu... snehikkunnu... aadarikkunnu... mashinte oro paattinteyum notations ezhuthumbol... athu koodunnatheyulloo... athinu gandhrvan nalkiya sabda maananga... athi manoharam.... Anandam... ananthaanandam... jagadaanandam sangeetham...
