@@blowc1612It was a well recognized fact that Curry wanted to be on the team as due to Covid and injury he had yet to play in the. Olympics. Bron had nothing to do with Curry being on the team. You can apply the same to Durant as he was close to becoming the all time scorer so his desire to be on the team was understood. Edward performance in the world championships guaranteed that he would also be on the team. The only Bron did is made sure that he was the first one to jump on social media after the USA team failed to win gold in the world championships. The media jumped on Bron being first as him being the incentive for others to commit when they hadn’t even been given a chance show their interest other than the obvious Curry and KD. Bron strategized that being the first on social media would imply everyone who followed him and expressed a desire to play was because of him when in fact it was because they just wanted to represent their country at the Olympics and bring gold home. Noah Lyles had nothing to d with it either as his point was specifically about NBA championship teams that announce themselves as “world champions” which is not the same as the USA Olympic team winning gold.

As someone who watched the original dream team, they NEVER EVEN CLOSE went up against a team as good as Serbia, Germany, Canada or even France. To have a perfect quarter. And it happened.

The game would not have been over in the first quarter if Steph didn’t have that performance. As great as it was, it was obvious his hot start was throwing the rest of the team out of rhythm. They kept feeding him the ball, and he kept nailing the shots, but at the cost of the rest of the team being disjointed and falling behind. They’ve been whipping teams with their teamwork and ball movement in all the games, and they were not doing that while Steph took a dozen shots in the first quarter. I’m confident if they would have went a different gameplan direction and got the team going, it still would have been close and easily winnable. They’ve already beat that team 2 times

At some point we all knew referees are going put Team Serbia in bonus in less than 2 minutes, tons traveling violations were not called, some soft ass fouls were called, and on the other end there were practically beating the hell of every Serbian player and nothing was called... So yeah thanks to Steph and referees Team USA is in the finals 🤢🤮

Yeah, because no calls were missed for the Serbian side at all. Only one way. And the refs made the Serbians shoot like shit the last quarter and Jokic go 0/6 from 3 as well. Good to know.
@svk_5104
@svk_5104 Ай бұрын
Lol you do know the foul differential was only 3 and the free throw differential was only 2, right? Serbia lost because they went ice cold from the field in the 4th quarter and all those 3s they were making in the first 3 quarters weren’t falling anymore. Serbia went 0/8 from 3 in the 4th. Plus, their two best players were a combined 42% from the field and 18% from 3, that’s why they lost
@Chris_Pearce

Like when Derrik white barely breathed on a guy for a 4 point play? At a critical point in the game? The refs did absolutely fine, Serbia couldn’t take the defensive pressure in the forth and fell apart

Serbia would have beaten the Dream Team, cause what they gonna do with 4 Stephen Currys on the court? You can't exchange 3 for 2s, especially if the opponent is hitting everything. Steph held them in the game like crazy, he doesnt hit 2-3 threes they might be losing by 20+ points. Embiid was cooking in the 4th as well, don't forget that and Bron is Bron.

You have to talk about steph's numbers. Its abysmal. Hes shooting 30% from the field and 20% from threes. I do believe he makes a good playmaker and assist with everyone by being a distraction, but his numbers are really bad since the Puerto Rico game. (Havent checked after). Btw im talking about overall stats not game by game. I dont know if that means anything but compared with everyone else, his stats blows.

Its 12 v 12 not 6M v 333M… size doesn’t matter. South Sudan who doesn’t even have indoor courts are a really good team. That goes to prove that basketball came a long way since 1992 dream team

Let’s not also forget, Serbia has been working towards this for years. And in a one game out scenario any team can go scorched earth. In the first half Serbia couldn’t miss. But as we’ve seen in the past teams being hot like that can they sustain for the whole game, that spoke of the greatness of the US team, they didn’t crumble like many would’ve in those circumstances, but showed us why they are touted the way they are. Serbia played almost a perfect three quarters. Serbia looked scared and nervous in the fourth quarter. I’d still take the US 10/10 times with blowout wins in 8/10 of those games. Oh and on the refs, the refs DIDN’T win it for the US. The US were being mugged most of the first three quarters, and they aren’t used to that style of play, but by the fourth quarter they started to give it back to the Serbs and that’s why they won. I do prefer the more physical style of international ball over the NBA’s soft style. The oft repeated argument is LBJ couldn’t have played in the rougher 90’s, this proves that the cream rises to the top when the going gets rough.
