I think people forget that once show mares are no longer able to show, if they’re proven then they go on to be broodmares. Katie runs a broodmare farm, if she has a mare that can’t be used to breed she likely would not have them.

If you want the big hat horse race experience with less planning and a smaller crowd you should look into coming to Keenland in Lexington KY. We have meets in April and October every year and its the same feel as the derby just WAY less people. We also have the KY Horse Park here in Lexington that I think you all would really enjoy seeing!
