In this SMaSH beer experiment, we dive into Krush hops (HBC 586) to see what flavors and aromas this unique variety brings to the table. Using 2 lbs of malt, 1 oz of Krush hops, and US-05 yeast, we brewed a simple one-gallon batch to highlight the hop’s characteristics. The result? Bold aromas reminiscent of citrus, berries, and even a bit of ginger-like zip. If you're into fruit-forward IPAs or looking for a hop that packs a punch, this is the one for you!
Watch as we break down the brewing process, share our tasting notes, and discuss how Krush hops can elevate your next brew. Don’t forget to like, subscribe, and hit the bell for more SMaSH beer experiments and hop reviews!
Tasting notes include:
Fresh citrus (lime, orange, lemon)
Fruity sweetness (cherry, fruit cocktail)
A unique ginger-like spice
A big, zesty aroma perfect for hop-forward beers
