Eve I can't even express how much I loved this video. I relate to you so much, from the fear of failing to how people react to your worries after exams, it was so comforting to hear that other people feel the same way as I do. I would be really interested to see a video about how exams/ striving for academic success has affected your mental health, if that wouldn't be too difficult for you to do. You talking about it makes it easier for me and I'm sure many others to deal with. Wishing you all the luck in the world for results day, I'm waiting for results to see if I got into Oxford too and the stress and overthinking is real 😭😂 xxxxx

I just wanted to say I accidentally found you in 2016 when you had uploaded your 16th birthday haul (I believe it was that video ) and I’ve been incredibly blessed to be able to see you grow academically and as a person and I’m super duper proud of you and i feel like you haven’t changed as you’ve gotten bigger which I think is awesome and shows how real you are, I feel like you and unjaded jade show how hard work can get you to reach your goals (Jesus I hope that makes sense 😂🤪😭) love from New Zealand

I honestly get you so much like everyone always says to me “oh your so smart” but I’m really not smart I just like to work really hard and I have a solid work ethic to achieve things I set my mind to. And yesss grades are personal like if your aiming and revising your arse off for an A and get a B you’re allowed to be disappointed in yourself because it’s a personal goal☺️

Eve Bennett honestly i totally get you! ☺️If you need to have a rant especially when results day comes up you know what people are like i am here for you gal aha xx😊its super frustrating🙃 and also for me aswell my parents were the teachers at my school so people would always be like oh its the smart genes im like well maybe i got my mums work ethic but ultimately its what you put into it-most people arent just naturally smart you just put in the work if you want something enough! ☺️

I am the exact same! I can't say that I struggled in a test without people saying I should shut up and I did fine. I get so fed up with it at times. It's worse when I get my results and I'm disappointed and people say I am arrogant and the like. People just don't understand...

Izzy Gilligan honestly same, like I relate so much that I just want to be Eve’s friend because we’re so similar. Everybody who likes this should just meet up and form a new group because I’m honestly lacking in like minded friends 😂
@katjarode87666 жыл бұрын
I can also completely relate to the “you’ll do fine you’re eve” comments because this happens to me all the time and then I just feel more pressure and it drives me insane. Or people always assume I am 100% prepared and that I have no right to complain after an exam.
@RevisionWithEve6 жыл бұрын

@yoonkosmos49326 жыл бұрын
Oh gosh same!! I’m not innately clever, I have to work lots for the grades I get. So sometimes when I just don’t revise enough people around me say ‘you’ll probably do better than all of us, you’re you’ and I understand why they say it but gosh I have gotten average scores before because I didn’t work enough. I wish I was one of those annoying people who don’t revise yet get the best marks 😂

@@iqra2956 Teachers are the worst for it... My Biology teacher called me to one side when she was handing back our internal mocks and she said "I'm shocked and disappointed". Loved what you said about working for a goal and not for fun. It’s sometimes intimidating seeing you tubers who seem to revise and study they’re whole lives and it’s so good that your being honest and challenging the ‘study-tuber’ assumptions. I find it really weird how people can presume teenagers study their whole lives when they have friends and family and actual lives💓💓
@RevisionWithEve6 жыл бұрын
Thank you!!! That's exactly what I was trying to get across x
@lawrencepaish15286 жыл бұрын
I think the reason people say that you get grades “effortlessly” is because there are people (like me), who work extremely hard but still can’t get as good grades as you can. I think it’s because we don’t know how to work as effectively, whereas you know exactly what you are doing; which is amazing! But I agree, it is not nice for people to think you do no work, when you work extremely hard. Best of luck for your results :)

Hi Eve, a little late to the party here! I'm 23 and just finishing off my masters degree and have never commented on one of your videos before (or any at all for that matter!). But I just wanted to say that you have such a unique balance between compassion and confidence and so many other traits that are so refreshing in someone not only of your age (patronising tone unintended) but someone who so openly puts herself out to the world. I sincerely hope that your university journey is everything you want it to be and more. There is often so much expectation in making "friends for life"; having the "perfect" flat unit etc, but my advice to you would be to get involved in everything you possibly can and those friends will follow. I'm pleased to hear you have become more impulsive as that will help lessen your perfectionism (a wonderful trait to have but bloody hard at times) and make room for other exciting things. University really does go so fast. You're the best girl, keep being the best YOU that you can be xx
