Actually, we have a general timeframe for Fighter Pass Vol. 2's finalization. The pass itself was greenlit around the time of E3 2019 according to industry insider Imran, with the actual characters being locked in by November of that year according to Sakurai (mentioned during the Byleth presentation, which was recorded on November 2019).

Yea I mean. Pyra and Mythra can exist without a driver because they're peocessors... so Rex isn't really even a part of the equation? She chooses to stay his blade because (spoiler alert) she loves him, not because she's reliant on his existence like other blades. So he's more of a pretty accessory than anything else. Something that's not necessary, but makes you happy. (That came across weird, I love Rex lots I promise)

Man, I don't know how to refer to Pneuma any more. I'd ordinarily keep using the spoiler-avoidance name but given that everyone who plays Smash now knows her by her real name I fear that that might even be more spoilery. I guess calling her Pneuma in a Smash context and the spoiler-avoidance name in a Xenoblade context might be best? Also, I was originally Team Poppi but after mulling it over for a week or so I definitely think the purple skin is Weltall. The colour scheme matches up way more closely, and we all know Sakurai's usually pretty darn careful with his alt skin colour schemes.

For the metallic colors, ive seen people make connections to klaus and galea. With pyra being klaus and mythra being galea. Its a bit of a stretch with pyra, but galea has silver hair and a white coat, and mythra has silver hair and white clothes. Pyra definitely resembles the conduit a lot more that klaus, but with his connections to the conduit it does still make sense. Edit: I completely forgot about zanza, pyra looks like zanza in this costume. mythra still looks more like galea than meyneth but they are basically the same person so close enough.

Huh I thought Mythra #6 was the Trinity processor colours. She has the colours of all Aegis cores but I agree with the Pyra Omnigear Weltall reference! And #5 is clear as day Weltall. I mostly caught everything else you said except the Coffee and Milk thing.... which would be hilarious. I actually do think it is 100% the Zohar though... maybe Mythra as a Kirchwasser or Proto Omega silver since it does have the Zohar at one point. I didn't think about Albedo hah. Too bad Sakurai will never say cause of legal reasons. Isn't it also strange KOS-MOS wasn't referenced even once? No mii costume, no spirit, no alt colour. It's pretty strange to me since she's the brainchild of Monolith Soft. My hope is that since we got the fighter spirits for Pyra and Mythra with their figurine art that maybe Namco will have asked for KOS-MOS and we could get Tanaka's KOS-MOS art on the figurine box realized in smash as well. However, it would sure feel strange to have two Xeno series in the pass so I guess that wont happen.

I think for #7, Pyra is supposed to represent the Monado 1/2, and Mythra is supposed to represent Zanza's Monado. All the colours are there, and Zanza's Monado is basically the unsealed version of that Monado, and it goes with the theme of Mythra being the unsealed version of Pyra.

I think for the 6th palette, Pyra is the Xenogears while Mythra is Deus (with the black leggings potentially just trying to make a difference between the two and make it clear one is the antagonistic one) Edit: I got another one, this time for the 8th palette: what if, while Pyra is the Zohar from Xenosaga, Mythra was meant to ressemble XC2's equivalent of it known as the Conduit? The varying shades of grey could be trying to emphasize the greens of her core crystal through contrast while still referencing how bright the Conduit seems to be shining in its appearance, and the black leggings are just leftover from default, leaving the greens being kept as is to complete the look.

Honestly the alts are the only thing I was disappointed with about Pyra and Mythra. I was really hoping that we'd get alts that referenced their other party members in XC2 similar to how shulks alts reference his. They could keep the pneuma alt, color swap alt, and add in alts for all of the XC2 party members and still have an extra alt left to do whatever they want with. I personally would have preferred that a lot more than "colors that pop" and silver and gold.

I think Monolith have hinted that a Xenoblade project was in pre-development last year. Don't forget they do help Nintendo with other big franchises (Zelda BotW2) and are working on a New IP so they probably don't have a full team working on it yet. Let's not forget Torna was released in September 2018 and Xenoblade Definitive Edition just came out last year so we've had a fair bit of Xeno content since Xenoblade 2 in 2017 and these are big games with long development times. And while we've been spoiled with Xeno content on the Switch I'd rather not have this milked into a yearly franchise. Based on this release pattern of [ Xenoblade (Wii) 2010 -> Xenoblade X (Wii U) 2015 -> Xenoblade 2 (Switch) 2017 -> Xenoblade Definitive Edition (Switch) 2020 ] we will probably see Xenoblade 3/X2 sometime in 2022 at the earliest if not 2023.

I'm not sure if you already mentioned this in a video, if so I will gladly go and watch that, but *Spoilers* Is Alvis the third Aigis? I can see how he could be considered to be, not to mention the fact that Malos has a Monado and if you REALLY stretch the definition you could consider Pneuma to have a monado as well. Plus Alvis's necklace looks a lot like the aigis core crystal. I haven't finished XC1, but I pretty much know the spoiler about the monado being his to a basic degree.

I'd recommend giving all three a watch (starting with the Monado, ending with Ontos) once you finish the game. Also, a note about the necklace: They actually changed it in Definitive Edition; it was a key in the original.
