I tell this to every sharks fan I meet in person. I'm working to get you more followers prof!

1.6 and growing. Not bad for a kid from Montreal.

Kostin was a nice little surprise addition last season. He's big, strong, and skilled - I'd be surprised if he wasn't stick around. Our young players need protecting!
@monkeychifeАй бұрын
any young player who makes this sharks team should feel proud of themselves. Grier has made it so you have to be better than a fringe NHL player to crack the line up. It’s almost as if Grier is saying to guys like bordeleau “I can acquire and sign guys who just play hockey all day. I need you to be special to make this team”
@sempcastАй бұрын
Love to see Musty or Bords maybe both as the 13th forward… Hanging around the big club all year, on road trips. Connecting with Celly and Smitty. It would be great for both of their development. They’ll get some looks.👀

I think we're gonna see a loooooot of line shuffling the first half of the season. The ones that stick will be the ones who fit the system and make it impossible for the coach to take them out.
@SHAAAAAAAAAARKSАй бұрын
Great breakdown. I think all of these guys will have the most games played in the preseason so the coaching staff can get a good look. I predict either Musty or Gushchin (again) lead the team in preseason goals.

It’s a nice problem to be spoiled for choice with your forward group. I think we’ll see a few guys get looks before the lineup settles a bit. I do wonder if some of these guys are destined to become trade deadline capital to gain assets if Grier doesn’t see a future for them. But I really am hoping a good chunk of these guys pan out over the next 1-2 years.

I want to see a Kostin, Smith, Musty line

Love that idea!

Bordsy, Musty and Mukhamadullin should all be getting a lot of ice time IMO. Others should all stay with the Cuda for the most part, particularly Cags as he's a small guy and some of the more physical players could give him hell.
@kangakronicleslifewithamal2616Ай бұрын
I don’t see a spot for Bordeleau I understand you like him lol but there are better options for this team he’s been a minus player every ahl season and I think he’s a good trade piece at best there’s just no room with the other forwards coming up
@oneplusonemakesoneАй бұрын
Take a high stick to the chin there, Prof? 😂 Great vid!

And Musty is going to be a much better forward top 6 by 26. He’s got size great hands and vision he’ll play in the tough spots around the net and will mix it up if that’s necessary to lol. He is very close to being in the show.
@professorhockeyАй бұрын
Yeah it’s quite likely Musty ends up a better player in the end

Was Carle the last dman right after the draft/college to produce in the nhl for the sharks? I wish cag the best but he doesn’t seem to have the factor like Boyle. He’s not boyler.
@desmonddekker007Ай бұрын
What about Bystedt and Halttunen!?
@professorhockeyАй бұрын
I didn’t want to talk about every single young player since that would take a long time. Bystedt and Halttunen seemed like players who have a very very slim chance of cracking the lineup for game 1

@AlexPittiStockManАй бұрын
@@professorhockey he thinks askarov will be in the ahl. which makes 0 sense. vitek is genuinely horrible. i'm a devils fan. i know

@@AlexPittiStockMan Vanacek has NHL experience. Askarov does not.
It slipped my mind to mention Couture, but yeah, after hearing todays news that he hasn’t even skated since he played those games a few months ago, it’s not a great sign he will play, and especially not a great sign that he will play game 1.
@Andrii_LadykАй бұрын
IMHO if you call yourself "Professor Hockley" doesn't it mean you have to talk about all hockey teams? You talk only about Sharks team looks like you supposed to be "Professor Sharks Hockley"
@phillipnguyen1178Ай бұрын
Imagine typing "Hockley" 2x in the same comment
@professorhockeyАй бұрын
Fun fact, when I started the channel, I did talk about all teams. After a couple of months though I pivoted to just the Sharks since they were my favourite team anyway. Hence the name

cagnoni has a 0% chance of cracking the nhl lineup
@codybridgwood7738Ай бұрын
Doesn’t change the fact he’s far and away the best offensive defenseman in the sharks organization
@nickmelin248Ай бұрын
@codybridgwood7738 we will see. I hope he pans out his vision is good and passing is good shot is not at an nhl level yet. I think sam is a better offensive defenseman nhl slapshot already sam picks better spots to jump up in the rush. But Luca is a close second.
