Hi all! Thanks as always for sticking around for these slightly more academic videos. I think it makes a real difference to our skill as painters, but I know it's not as sexy as speed painting tips! Couple of people here and elsewhere have noted the paint on bare hands thing. I've seen that and taken it on board. I've already done my research into acrylic paints and skin contact, and know what I'm happy doing, but I also understand that I run a KZbin channel and people may see me getting paint everywhere and take that as carte blanche to get themselves into all sorts of trouble with toxic pigments or very prolonged periods with dry paint on their hands. That is not cool, so I will address the issue in the next video, and set a good example in the future! Cheers, Gxx

I always feel like I come away from watching one of your vids just a little bit smarter. Thanks for putting the effort in to make these educational/theory videos easy to follow and compelling to watch with those gorgeous background minis!

Than you! I'm just happy people get something out of all this bookish stuff! I think it's really interesting (and can make a real difference to your painting!), but I know it's a little drier than your average 'paint like this' video.

Boy o boy, the most comprehensive guide I've seen! Definitely waiting for the next video focusing on practical application. Excellent work, thanks😁 P.S. those guardians are gorgeous❤

This is exactly the sort of video I've been looking for. I've started about two years ago and now that I have the basics of the techniques, I want to start learning actual color theory to understand why all the little tricks I've learned/I've been taught work.

No part 3? A shame. I know that colour theory and all its various applications arent algorithm friendly or great value for most youtube audiences looking for their 200th slapchop video. But thought id put a comment of appreciation towards you for the effort just to put this out there.

Thank you! I'm not so much of an algorithm chaser. It's nice when vids do well, but not the end of the world if they don't, so long as I like them :) There will be more colour theory in the future!

I prefer my weeds in the comments to be a dark brown red to contrast the pale yellow of my sandy bases

Sure! You can paint anything with an airbrush -- it'll all come down to what effect you want and how much experience you have

Haha, busting brains is not the goal, but it is acceptable collateral damage :P Regarding paint and skin, I've pinned a comment at the top :)

Glad this popped into my feed! Learned something new with local colour vs global colour, so thanks! Learning how colour theory intersects with lighting situations is something I really want to understand to up my painting level - ill definitely be subscribing for the rest of this colour theory series, cheers! P.s please do wear some gloves when airbrushing your hands, nitrile ones are dirt cheap in bulk and your skin will appreciate it long term.
