Pile 1: The messages make so much sense. Pile 3. No contact, an ex, but it still lines up. He had MAJOR issues making me a priority at all and put me on the back burner. I chose myself and I left him. He has not moved on yet, and I guess I'm closing the door entirely because while I've thought about ending the no contact, like what would change? He would say he did and then do the same thing again. Not enough time has passed, and certainly not enough growth would have happened in a couple of mere months. I came here because I didn't let him reply to our last conversation and I wondered what he would say to me given the chance. His plate is full, he has a demanding job and he prioritizes his family. He still put everyone and everything over me while we were together, and when we broke up, he magically put the effort back in. He didn't know what he had until it was gone, and I'm sure if I wouldn't have said goodbye that he would have wanted to reconcile or have a second chance. I don't give second chances very much these days or deal with being put last. He's not a bad guy, but he has a lot to sort out before he gets into another relationship. I do, too, but I know the next one that I get in, I'll be ready, open, giving like I was here. Heartbreak didn't close me off, it just made me realize I'm pretty awesome on my own and it'll take someone incredible to change that. I wish him well in all of his future endeavors and hope he finds his match one day.
