I love videos like this. I always find at least one thing that I can add to my bags or upgrade to make them better based off of videos like yours. And I like when I see someone carrying a solar powered charging brick versus just a charging brick. It shows that person is a thinker. Thanks for giving us a peek inside of your kits for ideas.

Yes I understand the guys that want a minimalistic approach but that's never been me. I want to have everything I need first hand because I'm usually going to be in a vehicle. If I am not in a vehicle or if it breaks down then I can just take what I need and leave the rest. Also I did my video at 3:30 in the morning LOL. I'm sure people would be interested to know what you have to say. Find the time sir.

I'm the same way. That's why I have multiple bags. If I bug out, I'm going to do my best to do so in a vehicle. I'm fat and disabled so if I bug out on foot, I'll be limited in my mobility. I gave our road captain a nice Harley tire pressure and depth gauge. It’s important with off-road vehicles too. I used to have a super cumbersome bag like that a long time ago. Now I slimed it down to about 20lbs and in it I have: 2ltr of water, 1 5h energy, 800cal rations, 800cal Lara bars, 4 jerky sticks, sawyer mini with 2ltr water bladder, 2 bandannas, head lamp, 2small/med/large flashlights, tiny bag of tiny cables for all usb types adapters and two tiny bat chargers, 2TB of mini usb storage with dozens of movies/music/books/tvseries, copies of all my pictures, and digital copies of my important documents, thumb drive sized PC with dozens of useful software programs and massive library of information, handheld size PC for gaming on the go, super compact 10w solar panel, miniature pocket SW/am/fm radio, pocket multimeter, spare glasses, eyeglass repair kit, 3sets of earbuds, 2 power banks, quicksteel putty, compact lock pick kit, small whetstone, silcloth, 4mini rolls of 3types of tape, letterman wave, mini screwdriver kit, nail clippers, laser pen, pens, sharpie, notepad, TP tabs, spare batteries/rechargable batteries for all devices, comprehensive medical kit, mini ground tarp, tent/poncho, mechanic gloves, breathable compact bivi sack, small sack of paracord and bank line hanks, mini block and tackle kit, carbon n95 mask and swimming goggles for OC spray exposure, mora knife with custom sheath, mini altoids survival kit, small revolver with small pouch of ammo. That’s my edc bag. If I travel more than 20miles from home I also bring a supplemental bag that is mostly empty to transfer the edc too for longer distances, in it I have a full hammock shelter setup with straps and lines pre strung in snakeskin sheaths, in compression sacks, a mess kit with small stove, larger solar panel, thick wool blanket, more robust camp knive, Otis mini gun cleaning kit, 4days vac packed freeze dried food, change of clothes, folding saw, compass and map, secondary mini thumb drive PC and mini monitor in a faraday pouch with second copy of all digital storage. I’d also have a main pewpew, Depending on the situation. I think that’s all, there is enough space left over in the edc for my lunch box or a few random things I carry around now and again but it’s always by my side so not everything is emergency related lol.

Carry as light as you can. You could carry some xtra clothes for your local weather conditions, a light tarp or poncho for shelter and dried food for a few days. But, I would carry a water filter with some canteens. As for a weapons a knife, 22lr ammo, and rifle for the ammo(22lr) doesn't weigh much, so you can carry a lot more. An IFAC attached to your belt or pack and your good. Again it all depends on your plan to get where you're going, geography, and climate are another consideration(good maps & Compass)? It's great that you're thinking of others too, there's too many that have no compassion these days...stay safe and know your limitations.

I tried to carry as light as I can but it just gets hard with all the scenarios playing in my head. Weather where I live and pretty much the only place I would go is mild on the hot or cold side. I am getting a water filter soon. I have a hammock and there was a poncho type thing in the bag already. Also have tons of knives and thinking about just keeping a 22 rifle in the truck. Also I just bought a waterproof casing that you can put maps and Compasses in so I will have all of that and just putting it together more and more and at the same time hopefully less and less. And thank you I appreciate that. Maybe spreading that awareness will make more people start to care about others. Lead by example.

I agree in ww3 scenario some Marino wool clothes you can layer, some high calorie food, light tent or tarp shelter, light sleeping bag and closed cell foam pad, water filter, light metal water bottle, possibly light canister stove. With all the guns and amo you need warm clothes, food and shelter to stay fit enough to shoot all that amo.

@wsgeo
@wsgeo 7 ай бұрын
@BULLETENVY When I think of a ww3 scenario, it reminds me of a quote from the movie Aliens2 when PFC.Hudson says"Game over, man. Game over!" The US would have all of its cities wiped out because of their proximity to a military bases, industrial capacity or population size. Then you would have to deal with the triple effects of a radiated environment, raging environmental fires, and choking smoke that would last for months if not years. It would truly be an extection event, throw in a secondary enemy limited strike months later and yes, it would be "Game over". I can't get into the details here because there is not enough space to write about it. But, if you wanna educate yourselves on the subject watch the move " The day After" and then do some reading on the subject here www.osti.gov/biblio/6852629 Hidden Dangers: by Ann H Ehrlich Nuclear War Survival Skills: oism.org/nwss/ And Lastly, Check out some Nuclear Target Maps they are on line.

Nice video It's not recommended to cook canned food in the can because doing so can release harmful chemicals from the can and plastic lining into the food. Cans made of tin, aluminum, steel, and other metals can release toxins such as chromium and nickel when heated. Heat can also break down the plastic liners in the cans containing the BPA, which is a human estrogen.

@@BULLETENVY No doubt Brother. A nesting cup can be used for boiling water or cooking individual meals. I find "What to take vs what not to take" is a balance between weight & value. EDC vs go bag & using a car as a staging area (as you mentioned) makes it easier trim down what is on me (ether EDC or go bag). I don't use ziplocs but try to keep each compartment/pouch dedicated. I carry only what I need or can use. On my persons is always a flashlight, a knife & a pistol. On my go bag - 6"x4" IFAK (Boo-boo kit to a trauma kit except a decompression needle with tourniquet & EMT shears attached to the IFAK) tearaway pouch, 4"x4" small tool kit pouch (bit driver set, adjustable wrench, pliers, lockpick) fixed blade, multitool & flask - all molle attached. In my Go Bag compartments: Light/power (flashlight, lIght sticks, USB power banks & usb powered light) compartment, another compartment for a portable CB Radio. In a small front zipper compartment there's Liquid IV and Emergen-C. A water bottle is in it's dedicated pouch built into the bag. Inside the main compartment there's a regular size bandana, a large bandana & shemagh. There's food (MRE & protein bars, dried mango, trail mix/almonds), wipes, portable fishing kit, 50' of paracord, waterproof storm matches, shortwave radio, shortwave antenna, electric tape, sewing repair kit (Exotac rip spool, water proof repair patches, flat pack Duct Tape, Dyneema thread, slice rotary scissors with travel needle & thread kit). I will be adding a poncho, a Katadyn Hiker Pro Water Filter and some Magnesium rods/buttons to my fire kit. I don't keep anything for cooking in my go bag. Try to stay as light as possible but as functional as possible for my Go bag.Everything else (like sleeping bags, winter gear, transfer/siphon pump, etc) stays in my car trunk. I may've missed something as this is all off the top of my head while @ work. Spare ammo is on my chest rig and plate carrier.

Man that was a lot to read so I'm going to screenshot this comment and take a few plays from your book. Where do you get the Liquid IV? I have a bunch of stuff to start an IV but I haven't been able to find the actual bags or something comparable. I like a lot of your items listed and I probably will be taking some of them if that's all right. Also I did have a portable ham and two-way radios but I keep those in a separate EMP proof bag. The electronics in the bag in the video are not my main electronics. Most of those stay in a faraday bag. I have multiple bags but I must say after hearing comments like your I need to get even more organized. It's something I've been working on for a couple months now anyway so it'll be fun. Thanks for the comments.

@@BULLETENVY No doubt. Liquid IV isn't a glucose bag but a product like Gatorade. Except it rehydrates you faster & doesn't have a high salt content like most sports drinks. I'm going to post a video, haven't got around to recording it yet.

The whistle/thermometer/button compass hanging on the shoulder strap has a steel split ring holding it on. Ever try removing it to see if it throws off the compass heading? I knew a young man who had received a silva ranger compass as a gift but was unable to do a simple orienteering field course. I had him use my not so good compass and he did fine. He asked what was the matter with his compass. I took the saftey pin he used to attach it to his neck lanyard and showed him how the compass needle would follow it as i moved it in circles around the compass. He ran the course with his new compass without the safety pin and did fine. I told him to make sure he removed any steel from the compass before trying to use it...or find a non-magnetic way to attach it to his lanyard!

Being prepared is one thing. Bugging out is the single most impractical idea you can possibly prepare for. If you really had to survive in a wilderness environment, you should be practicing doing it WITHOUT all your toys. Just take one weekend out in the woods with nothing but what you carry every day. Your knife, gun and one extra mag. You will learn how important skills are. Guys who pack a bag like yours do not survive for more than a week. A tire pressure gauge? Did I hear that correctly? 😂 4 flashlights two solar power banks? This is the most ridiculous bag I've seen.

Well I'm sorry feel that way dude. I make my bag for my needs. Not anyone else's. I don't really see why that's so crazy of an item. This bag usually stays with my vehicles and I have an air compressor so for an item that might weigh 2 G to check tire pressure doesn't seem so far-fetched. Flat or low tires in a bad situation should be thought of more. also. I have a family and young children so having devices charged to keep them calm is important if necessary. Not to mention three different cell phones. And two-way radios. And keeping flashlights or headlamps charged. I like having what I need and it's most all in one organized bag. Who cares if it's heafty?

@@BULLETENVYyour raising children to behave like idiots if they don't have a 3 ring circus going on . Tell children to behave , you are the man , children should respect your authority . If moma undermines your authority discipline her ! On your bag for your needs ... Good response . 👍

@mikelgeren149 I mean that's a pretty hefty assumption. I know you don't have a lot to go on just from the video but I'm raising them very well I think. 2 years old is not quite the rule with an iron fist age. My children will be far from idiots and even currently are the exact opposite. They are polite they're kind and they are enjoying life and have a present father so everything is good there. I was more talking along the lines of if you were in a scenario say in the end of times or something where you did have a young child and they needed to be entertained while you did work or they needed to be quiet to avoid a threat then it would be something to capture their attention because they are too young to understand that someone is trying to hurt you or kill you. Also it's good for morale.

@@BULLETENVY to be honest it's none of my Business how you raise your children or any parents raise their children UNTIL they get out in public and act like animals . To many parents behave like its nothing , just take a trip to walmart to verify . What flies today would never be tolerated fifty years ago . Look at society at large , social order is breaking down because of individual behavior . Not only are children behaving like idiots , but so are the parents . I don't believe in "iron fist" rule , children can reason . Both parents have to be of one accord . By the way , I don't have children ! 😝

@mikelgeren149 😆 well regardless of whether you have children or not you can still tell. I assure you mine is not and will not be a Walmart child LOL. I agree with you there.

Sad to see guns as first thing especially after the recent shooting

I mean this in the nicest possible way but.. is it sad to see race car videos after someone died in a car wreck? Just understand the gun is the tool. It is an effective tool. However the only bad thing about any tool of destruction are the people behind them. Those people that did that had malice in their heart and I do not. I would be the first to jump in and try and help fight against evil people like that. I do appreciate you watching tho.
